Thanks apple. We will be under £30k after the re-mortgage and would love to be under £25k by the end of the year but that might be a bit of a stretchSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Your overall reduction since December is 13.5% if you want to make yourself feel a bit better.
Have you considered asking Lloyds to round up the interest-bearing loan payments to the next 00 round figure as mini-overpayments? It would cost you less than £60 a month and I think you would be surprised at the impact on the 3.9% interest you are payingSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

I have suggested this to DH as an interim measure as he is stuck between 2 sizes after our M&S visit yesterday.Suffolk_lass wrote: »Your overall reduction since December is 13.5% if you want to make yourself feel a bit better.

I'll take 13.5% any day Suffolk lass
The larger loan is being consolidated into the mortgage and the smaller one will be overpaid once the Lloyds card is cleared. I bank with them too so overpaying anything over £1 is really easy on internet banking.
DH didn't get a suit yesterday as he was almost 2 sizes lower but not quite so is going to wait until he has lost a bit more. He had measured his neck himself at home for a new shirt but was the same size as his existing shirts which are massive. The chap in M&S measured him and suggested a different fit but 1/2 inch bigger and they look great and a lot less tent like.
I bought 2 dresses and a top with my personal spends and we spent £7.50 on an amazing smelling candle from DH bonus.
I had a lovely dream that I got a pay rise, fat chance of that happening in real life.:(
It is another beautiful day here so we are taking the dog for a walk in the woods, DS needs a hair cut (our village barber opens on a Sunday) and popping to a friends to check out their new decking.

Well the !!!!!! has well and truly hit the fan. DH lost his job yesterday, completely unexpected and out of the blue. As he has only been there 7 months he has no grounds to argue his case and he wouldn't choose to do so anyway. He is on garden leave and will be paid his notice and has use of the company vehicle for a week. Today his is first ever day of unemployment since he was 16
The remortgage/consol is cancelled and we will be on SVR by the end of June. So is the BT of our biggest CC unless I move it in to my name on an existing card or 2 for a fee.
We will be OK until the end of August if we cut everything to the bone and depending on what the mortgage payment will be. Hopefully DH will have a new job by then or we will be approaching the mortgage company for a short interest only period until he finds one.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0
