    Afternoon all :)
Nice to 'see' you Maria :)
Ally, hope your ankle gets better soon :(

Didn't post yesterday, as I woke up headachey, had GD all day (and she was quite difficult :() and didn't feel I achieved much :o However, I did rally in the evening and made a good start on my tax return :T

As for today - so far:
Out early to vote, local elections here, coincided with walking the dog :)
    Load of washing
    Watered seedlings
    Posted ebay parcels
Paid in a cheque to building society
Small shop in Mr S, used extra points voucher
Took a couple of items to sales unit, and must sort out some more, as there were still a couple of gaps :T
    Walked for free exercise :)
Then - not moneysaving, but not too expensive either - went for lunch with DH and a couple of his friends to their golf club. Only £4.95 for a jacket potato plus the price of a diet coke, so nothing too extravagant!
Popped back to Mr S as we had the car, picked up some compost which I noticed on offer this morning. Used the triple points voucher I was given earlier :D
    Relisted some things on ebay

    Still to do:
Put washing outside to blow for a couple of hours - didn't put it out earlier as it looked like rain. Will finish off on airer later. Done, almost completely dry :D
Might wrap up warm and do a bit in the garden (it is cold again :() Sowed parsnips and more carrots, a bit of TLC for a mint plant in a tub, moved some things around, watered tomato plants which are getting quite big now, will be so glad when they can go out!
Change bedlinen Not done, on my list for tomorrow
More of my tax return (will get this done now!) Not done, as I discovered I need some info from the bank which I don't have yet. I DID manage to get OH's profit and loss account done though :D
List at least 2 new things on ebay Listed 3
    No sales today though!
    Leftover chilli for dinner Done
Walk dog again OH did this while I wrestled with his accounts

And a food waste confession - I chucked out some ancient spices from the larder this evening (prompted by DS finding something in there with a best before date in 2006 :o). The oldest I found was dated bb 1993 :rotfl:, I must have bought it for a specific recipe and it has been moving house with us ever since :o

Anyway, all OOD items are now gone, and as regards replacement, I will buy small amounts as and when I need it only. OH has put me up some little shelves in the larder to avoid them being all jumbled together in a basket, so now I can see what I have got.... so no excuses!

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Ally Thanks for mentioning the Holland and Barrett voucher, I searched my email account and I also have one, expiring end of June. I will have a think what we need before spending it.

    Hi all

Been absent, away spending lovely quality time with my big brother. He insisted on paying for everything so it was very low cost treat. Back to it though, very very busy at work and struggling with my emotions and anxiety. Anyhow here I am, plodding on.

Finances are not brilliant but could be worse and I will try and stay with you all for the rest of this month.

Left for work 5 minutes early to stop to buy something for lunch, settled on 2 for £1.50 sausage rolls so I have one for tomorrow too.

Breakfast was a cup of soup and some defrosted YS raspberries.

I've still not sent the ironing away and the pile is getting bigger and bigger!

I had a spot of luck at the little Mr T tonight, I went past at 7pm and wasn't planning on waiting until 7.30pm for final reductions (last night was rubbish, I put my trolley back and left) but was prepared to buy anything we like that was half price already. I picked up a Victoria sponge and noticed some organic strawberries in there with today's date but no yellow sticker at all. I asked the supervisor and he said they could reduce it at the till by 50 percent. I told the young lad on the till and he said 'but final reductions are 90 percent', so I said 'yep, but not for half an hour' and he said 'pfft, 90 percent it is' so I ran back and got the other two packs :rotfl:

Tonight I have cleaned the bathroom, it was smelling a bit of wee, I'm not sure if it was cat, teenage boy or the ammonia in DSGF's hair dye but whatever it was it's gone now!

Good Morning everyone! Happy Friday :j

Still have this lingering headache, I think it's hormone related. I really should go to the Dr's and get a blood test but I hate my GP's and getting an appointment is just a ridiculous phone in game :(

    Here's my list for today:

    - Check banking and keep an eye on funds left for the month
    - Check Ebay. I've got some items ending today and I have some bidders yay!
    - Put in my expenses to the boss
    - Renew our home and buildings contents insurance. I found a deal with Tesco's which saves us £200 and if buying via Quidco you get another £40 back :T
    - Might need to pop to Tesco's just to purchase a couple of items. Will stick to list!
    - Thinking about doing a workout but not sure if the headache will allow it
    - Complete OnePoll and Swagbucks
    - All meals from home
    - One wash today and hang to dry outside
    - Contact one of my creditors and pay off the debt which they accepted as a full and final amount on - so excited about this one :T

That's quite a list! Have a great day everyone

Well it's been an emotional 12 hours........missing kitty is home after 36 days awol. Some neighbours kids had spotted her last night on their shed, raced to get us, DD raced to get her.
We are a happy household today. Kitty is skin and bone and was quite agitated last night, I think she has just been in hiding nearby but has been living on her nerves all this time. Also dehydrated and her coat looks rough.
Small regular meals and lots of fuss on the cards. My DD was up with her part of the night and I was up with her at 3.30am, she just wanted fuss and cuddles. Going to give her a few days and then a trip to the vets is on the cards for a check up.
Planned a NSD yesterday but wanted to get a Sanctuary present for besties birthday. Would have got it the other day but forgot my B@@ts vouchers. Went in yesterday instead, found sets had now gone to 75% off and also on a 3 4 2. Got some sets for my mum aswell to give to her friends/ helpers that come in to see her.
    I won't forget May 4th in a hurry.
I tackled abit of Mount ironing everest yesterday, still loads to do.
    More paperwork today.
    Cat cleaning all done
    Banking all checked
Got a few chores to do in town today again, don't think I will see much of DD and kitty
Ally you're definately made of strong stuff, hope the ankle is getting better
twins hope the headache settles for you, great news on paying off the debt
FVD grabbing a bargain is the best, hopefully more to be grabbed at Mr Ts today

Have a great day everyone x

Fantastic news HK :j:j:j I always thought you would get her back though :)

    My plans for today:
Free fruit from freezer for breakfast instead of bought fruit :)
Washed coat that smelled of bonfires from last weekend, now on line :)Now dry
Bed linen changed and in washing machine, will peg that out too when done :)Also dry

Not so moneysaving - ordered another duvet cover set. Used a 10% off voucher code. And it is needed :)

    Still to do:
Sort out some items and take them to sales unit to fill spaces Done, took a couple of extra items, and luckily there were a couple of extra spaces :T
Bits from fridge for lunch Done
    Walk dog later Done
YS pork chops with Chinese 5 spice marinade for dinner - must think what to do with them :)OH wanted chips, peas and mushrooms... I was thinking more stir fry veg....
    Do some housework :(Not done
Make a start on OH's tax return - I am still waiting for information so won't be able to complete it, but can make some progress, as I did his self employment stuff last night :)Nor this - really lazy today :(:o
See what needs doing in the garden today - watering probably as we still haven't had any proper rain. Just cold, drying winds :(Repotted tomato plants and put out in plastic mini greenhouse to give them more space. I hope we don't get any more hard frosts :(
Repotted chilli plants and sprayed them to get rid of aphids
Watered all the pots in the front garden
Started shopping list for tomorrow, few bits needed

Hope I can shake off this lazy mood tomorrow!
