Evening all and a warm welcome to the new peoples :hello:

Cold, grey, wet and very windy here today :(

Well done all the busy, busy people especially LW and HB

I have dusted the bedroom and hall today - so a gentle start on the general dustiness gathering around me.
Have finished the accounts for April, done the usual monies juggling and paid off the c card online
Top kitchen drawer emptied and cleaned. Some items chucked, rest cleaned and put back tidy.
Back to my Spanish lessons with a little review of the last week I did before my holibobs

Hugs, sticks and spoons for all needing some
Hope you all have a great Tuesday

Morning flyladies....hope you all [STRIKE]survived[/STRIKE] enjoyed the Bank Holiday!

I hand painted six windows with linseed oil and loved it. I'd forgotten how much I like the smell. It took me back to my arty days (before children) and was very therapeutic. I did nearly give myself a hernia turning the big one over though.

Zip-all actual flying done except dailies, and this week our primary school is closed on Thursday as they use the hall for a polling station, so planning a day out with the small beans.

Mount Ironmore is staring at me as I type, but having a cuppa in defiance.

Hello to the newbies - welcome to the Fred xxx

Now, practise saying...... No. Go on, say it...... No. And again...... No. Now keep practising, so that it automatically comes to mind when someone wants you to do anything you don't wish to, don't have time for, or they could perfectly well do for themselves.
:rotfl: thanks LW. Not sure which of my facial expressions won the day, but I came home from beating the village bounds ( not sure if that is a particularly local custom for bank holiday, and now you'll all think I have some very dodgy pastimes!) to find everyone doing their own thing. So I managed to clear the ironing mountain, and S&S the bathroom and kitchen.

Well done HB! I can see that halo shining from here.

Welcome to all new flyers. I hope YL is ok, or that I've just missed her posts somehow.

Day of paid stuff today but I will try to catch up this evening. The paperwork mountain is also threatening to take over so that will be on the list for this week.

    Catch you all later.

DW and WM on overnight. WM was cloths and towels, including tea towels from work. They will be ironed before they go back.
Every time I check the weather report it changes...ATM sunshine is predicted for Thursday and Friday so I plan to have plenty tomoeg out then.

    Morning!

Littlies back to school and I'm putting this place back to rights! Popped up to town for essentials then I've evicted piggies othe the great outdoors, beautified the kitchen :rotfl:, hung out laundry and put another wash on, tidied LR, collected all things that belong upstairs and popped them in a basket.

Just having a cuppa, then I will tackle the rest of the ironing which is rather spoiling the effect in the dining room ;)

Even my desk is tidy! This afternoon I shall be finishing my homework, just a couple of references to add and then print, the bulk of the work is done. So I can even start on the next piece!

Welcome to the new flyladies, hop in, take it steady, and shout if you need a hand. I don't do mopping, though :rotfl:

    Finished and emailed a report.
    Went to zumba.
    Went to physio.
Went to town, collected new contact lenses, bought new sports bras and summer shoes.
Dropped in to GP to collect Mr N's prescription and ask politely whether the letter I'd dropped in from the physio 3-4 weeks ago had been sent to the specialist as requested. At the time I'd asked if the GP needed to see me first and was told no. Receptionist checked records. Referral not made. I expressed.....surprise. She emailed GP (who was in the next room!)
    Hung out washing.
    Emptied DW.
Went through undies drawer and decluttered manky old sports bras.
Phone call from GP receptionist, yes I do need to see GP first. I expressed surprise as I'd specifically asked that last time. Next appt on 12th.
    Back to report writing now.

    Afternoon all,

    Busy day here:

    - 2 xWM line dried
    - 1 XDW
    - 3 hours paid stuff
    - School run and DD has a friend over for tea
    - Visited elderlu relatives this afternoon with a verrry grumpy DS in tow
    - Did some work emails for DH - chasing money yet again, why oh why is paying your invoices in a timely fashion a thing of the past?
    - Listed one item on ebay
    - Paid some money into the bank

Phew. Now to make DH packed lunch for tomorrow, set the DW going again then attempt the joyous task of kiddie bathtime.

There just aren't enough hours x

Afternoon everyone, almost evening. Hope you're all ok.

I have actually done flying today because my day out with DH was cancelled as he got called in to the paid stuff - supposed to be his week off.

I have spent most of the day gardening but have achieved lots, WUDUPA, put out recycling, done one washload which is now dry except one item and hoovered and swept through the house.

Back to a 'normal' routine tomorrow. I'm planning on getting some windows cleaned inside before the paid stuff.

    Have a great evening everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
