lushlifesaver wrote: »tough few days in my head for me. saw the GP today - not much help tbh. as there's only a tiny fluctuation in my weight between today and this time last year when I last asked them for help they aren't really bothered. she has said to have another blood test but doesn't expect my levels to be any different to last time. Has referred me for the 'get healthy get active scheme' which offers reduced price fitness sessions but I need to see if that will fit in (i.e sessions available on a Monday) I got a card for £2 which gives me a smaller discounts on pay as you go gym/classes and have to use that for a couple of weeks then I can get a reduced membership at the gym anyway.
food not so great yesterday - started well but work friend surprised me with quesadillas for lunch (chicken, peppers, tomatoes and coriander but in a white wrap (no idea on syns) and with cheese (no idea how much) tea was pasta and meatballs but lower syn sauce than usual. wasn't in the frame of mind to count syns etc but I tried.
Was all energised until I saw the gp and that's left me a bit down but trying today. breakfast was 35g shreddies (heb) with half hea semi skimmed
lunch will be a jacket potato (from home) with homemade speedy pulled pork (baked beans, tinned toms, onion, 2 types of pepper, mushrooms, carrot, fresh toms etc) and baby corn (no idea if that's speed? guessing not
tea: oh is having quiche - I'll make some baked omelettes so looks pretty similar and salady bits. how many syns in a morrisons savers bacon quiche out of interest?
can anyone help with the syns of a treat sized curly wurly and 50g mozzarella?
Sorry you're feeling down after the doctors visit. It really annoys me that they really push to lose weight, but the help doesn't tend to be there. At least you can get cheaper gym membership.
Baby corn is speed I think, but big corn is just free.
Treat size curly wurly is 3
Mozzarella is 7 (4 if it's a light variety)
Morrisons cheese and bacon savers quiche is 12.5 per 100g grams. That's the closest I can find.Zebras rock0 -

That's right kathrynha but new information for me. I always assumed that corn on the cob and baby sweetcorn would be Speed and just tinned sweetcorn would be just free. Fortunately I'm not a huge fan of any of them although I do buy baby sweetcorn (especially when it's been on Super6) just to ring the changes.
I'm cross on your behalf too lush. Perhaps you just aren't fat enough!:rotfl:You haven't been yourself and whatever the complete reason, the lack of weightloss isn't helping. I would go to the exercise classes though (do they do evening sessions?) and the gym. It'll be good for you to have the time to yourself and lift your mood if nothing else. :A
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, bacon, fried egg, mushrooms and tomatoes, HEA for drinks
L: lentil soup and finish up some scraps from fridge (beetroot, chicken, cottage cheese)SW spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: none planned, hoping to squeeze the Parmesan from my HEA0 -
thanks kathrynha and maman. I think I am over it now. although I have gone over my 15 syns already
tea is a new meal and tomorrow is a new day and all that
I will complete the referral form and see what they say when they contact me with regards to what sessions they have available I suppose.
Thinking ahead to tomorrow as I'll be in the other office;
breakfast: heb choc shreddies 35g with milk from hea semi skimmed with strawberries (may change based on my question at the end of this post)
lunch: pulled pork with baby corn, think I may chop up some carrots to go with it too
tea: hubs will be out for a meeting (not so secret yaaaaays) so I am going to have ... hmm not sure yet!
questions: morrisons eat smart fat free natural yogurt...free? or syns? and also what sort of syns in there https://groceries.asda.com/product/everyday-diet-low-fat/asda-4-low-fat-coconut-yogurts/910002974044 I may have just found a super easy curry recipe on slimming eats to try with littlie tomorrow************************************

I can't find the exact products lush but Morrisons nume was free so I think you're OK with that.
The Asda coconut yogurt says it's new but they had a 450g pot at 9.5 so probably under 3 syns each for a little pot. ETA: syns calculator says 2.5
HTH
I love it when my DH isn't here for dinner then I can have egg and chips!0 -

ha I wish he was out more evenings; I do usually get a Friday now thanks to tennis but I haven't had that for a couple of weeksI think I will suggest he does a couple of tennis ones without us as now he's not with d1 for rugby and only with the team he was coaching I'll be needed at those weekends now!
3syns isn't bad when one pot would be enough for this recipe (its because I can't find coconut essence on any supermarket website!) so really that's 1.5 syns each portion plus the syns for the cornflower (1.5 so round that up to 1 each) still pretty good syns for a curry I think!
I might do overnight oats for tomorrows breakfast as the yogurts free. can use fresh fruit in them************************************

Lush - like others I'm angry on your behalf with your GP. Surely she can see how unhappy you are with your weight? You seemed to be in such a good frame a mind not so long ago and that was good to see. Draw the line and try and get your head back in it.
We've had a pre-planned power cut from 9am - 4pm today so decided the best thing to do was to go out for the day! This of course entailed eating out (bear in mind I only have 5 syns for today:eek:. DH wanted to have fish & chips and I didn't so eventually we found a cafe where he could have his beloved fish and chips and I could have a jacket potato, beans & salad:A. He said they were the best fish and chips he'd had for a very long time:T. So it's a definite use again cafe when we're in that area. It was also very :money:.
So today's menu:
B - SW fry up
L - jacket potato; beans; salad
D - Low fat burger (0.5); SW chips; onions (lots of of:j)
HEA - 0.5 milk; 0.5 cheese
HEB - probably Ryvita with the cheese
Syns - burger (0.5)
Means I've still got 4.5 syns for this evening if I fancy anything else. Only thing I've got apart from the mini cravings are a small bag of popcorn (3.5) or I could have 20g of Honey Monster Puffs for 3 syns. Decisions!

- another 1 off please Shala
I should probably bail out but I'm trying and they're slowly coming off!
B - Scrambled eggs and beans on toast
D - Deli box noodles, salad, space raiders (3), mini gingerbread man (2)
T - Roast beef dinner
No body magic whatsoever as I'm shattered. The joys0
