    Morning Everyone:D

Had a lovely meeting with two of my old work colleagues yesterday! Nice pub lunch and 3 large glasses of wine for me:D :D Cant remember the last time I had a glass of vino:eek: (god I need to get out more:rotfl: )

Having an easy day today - well as easy as can be expected with two kids! :rotfl: they are getting lairy now so might be time to go to the park for a runaround!;) but first got to pop to asda to get some batteries for remote control car that "nanny" bought DS yesterday:rolleyes: (funny she always tells me - "dont buy so many toys"! - so what does she do??!:rotfl: )

Hi Nelski:D - I have visions of you lying in bed balancing washing up bowls to catch the water!! (sorry) re: the floor - Tiles are nice but can be cold, so depends on what type of house you have - Vinyl - warmer and easier to clean. Laminate - can be noisy and gets scratched after a while. Grey slate sounds fab!

DLB - OO we have a real life "OS WAG" now on here!;) :D
    pink - enjoy your lay-in;)

Enough waffle from me, havent anything else exciting to add im afraid!:o

Have a good day all xx
  • Hi to all will read the thread later properly tho have noted that gorgeous looking recipe for welsh rarebit so thanks for posting that.

DD1 in a grump because she has homework design a stamp according to the country she is doing,we are going for Spain I think. The homework she gets and she is only 7 is mental every Friday there is a big peice to do. or money for this or that it goes on and on doesnt it?

DD2 woke up mega early and we dropped off to sleep on sofa (safely) and when I next looked it was 9.40am not done this since a teenager so shock alert, luckily for me DD1 was still asleep or I would have felt dreadful.

Well gorgeous weather here,so washing out on line. Got soooo much washing to do today eeek am I only one who finds Sundays hard work?

Got a whole side of Salmon,so that is going in soon for dinner with New Pots and Salad makes the most of having a salad before Winter kicks in. The Fish Pie yesterday was delish was so impressed. I put some Creamed Leeks in so dont know if it was this that made a big difference? Went down well anyway.

Choc crunch to make later and some buns for pack lunch then thats that on the cooking front leaving me free to get on with ironing. What an exciting life I do lead, but work tomorrow on lates so have to get it done today.

Hugs to all that need them and hope you are having this lovely weather too.

Darn, didn't get 'em. However, it turns out that DH did not like them after all, and was confused about which curtains I had put a bid on. So probably just as well!

Now we will go for a walk and maybe have a pub lunch with the children. Back to the drawing board for my 3.5m full length window. DH doesn't mind spending £150 or so, so long as it is something he likes, it's just a matter of finding something. I will probably end up buying new curtains just to be sure we have them on time. The room is like a goldfish bowl, can't be in there without curtains.

just wanted to say I would have real thick voile like fabric and really go to town on the tie backs and above do you know what I mean? I think you could have something really dramatic up there as it such a blank canvas to play around with.
It looks like you need something to let the light in as the room looks like all the light coming from the central part so I would opt for light, airy and romantic. Hope you find what you want

Thats not a vision Shez that is exactly how it was - you know how you are a bit disorentated if you get woken up a 4 am (and I know thats normal waking time for lots on here but not for me :o ) well I woke up and for ages lay there wondering what possibly could be making my face wet:rotfl: Thanks for your thoughts on the floor - the area is quite big so a priority is something that is easy to clean - good point about laminate being noisy I may get it down to tiles or vinyl. (promise piccys when its doneicon7.gif)

Morning everyone, its lovely here, plenty of washing to do.

Pink, I too must have missed your post about ds operation - hugs and sending my very best wishes for a speedy recovery, and I hope you enjoyed your lay in;) .

Kunekune, how you checked out Next sale online?, they did have curtains yesterday in the sale when I looked.

Nelski, I have ceramic tiles in my kitchen, and I can honestly say I would never have them again, if you drop a glass/cup they not only break the glass/cup, it can also chip the ceramic tile. I used to have laminate in my old home, and I would go back to it tomorrow, if you do not have pets/children then its not likely to get scratched, no wee boy running his cars over it, or the dog skating on it, if you use a good thick insulator you won't find it cold, I particularly like the tile effect laminate you can get now, its on my to do list.

Must get showered, then mow the lawns, and sit in the garden possibly for the last time this year, I have a lovely bottle of red begging to be opened.

Just looking out of my study window, and my neighbour who seemed to be pregnant for years is cuddling her new baby...I'm so broody, (I wonder if my OH wants to go back to bed:D, erm on second thought I think I will let him get on painting the downstairs toilet, its only taken him 3 years to get round to doing it).

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone,

    Merlot

(((((((((((( nicola)))))))))))) - thinking about you

Merlot you are soo right - I have the clay look ceramic tiles now and they always look manky and the amount of glasses, mugs, plates, bottles that have shattered into smitherines is not worth mentioning.

Nicola - hope all goes well for you.
Haven't properly caught up yet, but ((hugs)) to all who need one just now.
Spent all day yesterday travelling down to Dorset and back to visit Mum. At least she was conscious yesterday so knew we'd been there.
Ironing has clearly been breeding whilst my back was turned..loads and loads to do again. Need to change bedding as well today. Still not started DGD's new quilt - just on a month to do it.
Hey Ho, need to go and take dogs out for decent walk - they had short rations yesterday!

    Think twice before spending anything!

Nichola, I had 2 babies with a cervical stitch, both of them full term........the result of a botched delivery with my second son left me with a weak cervix.

I have resolved the holiday/house sit dilemma, we are going house sitting.....OH is quite happy, we will loose the £38.00 we paid but will save a tank of fuel, wear on nerves and have £90 to put in the holiday fund........so in a way it was no contest!!!!!

OH has just come back from his bowls final, so I am now off to make tuna and cucumber sarnies..................cheers.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
