    good morning.

i been craving plum crumble since i woke up ar 2 am. so i am just gonna go make some. dont know why i wanum crumble. i've never had it in my life. ahhh joy's of pregnancy.

don't know what weather like , as i'm still in bed snuggled under duvett and curtains drawn. son is in his bed , daughter is laying at bottom of my bed watching cycling on tv and hubby snooring next to me

we off out to feed duck in a bit as couldn't get there yesterday. then my little girl is off to a birthday party up the road/ she so excited.

dw needs to be emptied. and i think kitchen needs a tidy. need to hoover all of downstairs aswell. but not doing too much today.

sausage roll' i made yesterday were delish.
and instead of making 1 pizza i devided dough into 3 and made 3 smaller with diff topping. one ham and cheese , one ham , pineapple and cheese and the last one red pepper , sweetcorn , ham and cheese. they were really nice. but my little girl fell asleep. and when she woke up was insuch a bad mood wouldnt eat any dinner. shame as so nice. but up to her i guess.

Hope everyone has a really good day. Hugs to those who need them and Happy birthday to those celebrating
  • Mrsmcawber - thats brilliant Thank You. I'd forgotton how much I liked it and its perfect for winter. 1 slice is definately enough as its so rich.

  • Mrs M, you can also make a 'cheat's' welsh rarebit - with leftover cheese sauce - add in some beer, worcester sauce and a egg yolk, then gently heat it on the stove, spread it over your bread and grill. the egg yolk will cook and thicken it right up.

    Thanks for that Odds.....

Usually do welsh rarebit for hubby ...when he want something "really savoury" if he has cheese n biscuits he gets carried away and eats much more than he wants.... and if HE does cheese on toast  ..... didn't think it was possible to get so much cheese on the bread (and in the grill pan) it is awful....all greasy n eughhhhh... He thinks im being nice doing it for him (which i am of course;) ).... No im trying to stop him putting his own body weight in cheese on 1 snack ;) ...
He reckons i cut my cheese with a laser knife... he calls id yoda(sp) cheese..as apparently yoda is the only person who could cut it as thin -with his light sabre:rotfl: ..... I would grate it....but you have no idea just how far hubby could spread it whilst eating:confused: ...

Well i realy should get back to the kitchen...
1 batch of dough sat rising on the worktop, and first batch of sausages made :T 24 links with some meat left over.... im only giving the machine engine time to rest before i do the next lot...honest:D ..and when the next batch are done...the meat left over from both lots will probably get made into meatballs.... or frozen into little packs to put in the stuffing ..

    well will stop rattling :o

    Hello

Not a good start to the day. Almost at work and the car broke down. Don't know what's wrong with it BIL took it away for me. So stranded at work now!
Good job I have 8 days off starting tomorrow. Don't know how much this is going to set me back. Think it's the cam belt that's gone and I know I need a new fan belt. Just forked out £115 for taxing the thing:mad:

    Having roast chicken later.

Plans for my week of include shopping in Brighton with sis and possibly a trip to London with sis too.

I'm still ill, but my throat is better. It's all in the nose and sinuses now.

All in all, not a very happy bunny at the moment

    Hope everyone's ok

  • Morning everyone, funny weather today - one moment it's really sunny and the next it is very dull and looks like heavy rain. I think the rains' gonna win !!

I sat up late chatting last night which meant I didn't get up till 8.30, really late for me, I always feel if I sleep late I never catch up, must get moving.

At the moment I have a shoulder of lamb simmering on the hob to make an Iranian dish that I have not tried in 10 years, hope I remember the recipe - it has onions, tomatoes, potatoes and chick peas and is lovely.

I am also going to bake the Christmas cake today - it is a bit early for me but reading the Christmas threads have got me so enthusiastic!

Later I am going to visit Dad in hospital, hopefully he gets home soon.

    Have a great Sunday everyone.

    Morning all,

Thankyou all for your kind words about ds’s operation on Tuesday. I’m still worried about it, but your words helped.

It’s a lovely morning here, which is just as well as we had an early start today because we had to pack the tiddly Pinks off for their sponsored walk this morning. Dd and ds2 (Beavers) will be finished earlier than ds1 who is in Scouts so we might go for a walk on the beach while we wait to collect them all.

Last Sunday we had planned to go out for lunch but friends dropped in and we all had a glass of wine and ended up having an impromptu lunch here instead, so going out didn’t happen. So today, once the walk is over, we’re off out for a family lunch. I’m really looking forward to not cooking and Mr Pink is really looking forward to not washing up! Afterwards we’re going to pop round to visit my Dad and Step mum…..because of their holiday and our holiday we haven’t seen them for a few weeks.

Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary happening….probably more work on emptying the garage, possibly some grass cutting, perhaps some weeding, maybe a little bit of housework and definitely lots of organising uniforms, lunches etc for school tomorrow.

Oh my goodness! Empty house and peace and quiet and Mr Pink doesn’t want to enjoy it, he wants to go back to bed! It would be churlish of me not to keep him company! ;)

Have a good day and take care,

    Pink

just back from helping daughter with paper round. she's told the shop she's not coming back, and I dont blame her. they gave her a different round which now needs two journeys on foot, and all for the payrise of £1 a week! anyway took the car to carry papers today so she didnt have to do two trips and she's not going back. the chap came out to the car to plead for her to stay! but good on her she said no, its exploitation.

today its roast pork for tea and there's lots of washing and ironing to do before we go visiting some relatives.

    Pink

So why are you still logged on pink?? :D

It's been decided - we're having a baking day cos I bought lots of that silicon bakeware at Aldi this week so must try it out :D So I reckon some parkin, a good old fashioned vicky sponge and some fairy cakes will do to start with and DS1 really wants to have a go at those mouse and hedgehog bread rolls. He has, however, just asked if we can make shark bread rolls!! May have to think about that one

Right - if I can catch them in the right mood I may just about get chance to cut the boys hair.

    See ya
