Morning all, it's fine here, but a bit grey.

Ages since I posted on the daily, but I have been reading through this week to try and catch up with the news.
General tidying round for me today.
I put some soup and broth mix in to soak last night, so half of that will be going into the slow cooker to make some minestrone soup and the rest will be used tomorrow for a veg type soup.
My freezer is very low and I know I have been overspending on shopping for the past few months.
OH thinks I'm having an affair, as I've started cooking from scratch again and making him "proper dinners" :rotfl:

Hugs to all who need them.

    Good morning everyone,

Hope all is well, ive been busy the last few days, so havnt been able to read the threads, but ((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one xxxxx

Still not sleeping well, and seem to have a perminant 'headache' now, well, my head doesnt hurt as such, but feels like its there, not sure ive described that right, but its a strange feeling. I think if i could just have a couple of nights sleep i would be fine, but never mind.

Yesterday i had a lovely time, spent the day with DS, whilst DD was at a friends, then DS went for a sleepover, so i spent the evening with DD!!!

DS had a football match in the morning, they played the same team last week in a cup match and lost, so they were really up for it yesterday, and they won 5 - 1. DS didnt score, but he did set up most of the goals, and was actually voted man of the match by the opositions manager, so very proud mummy moment!!! We then went to watch Plymouth Argyle play football, and they drew, so couldve been worse.

After collecting DD from our friends, dropped DS off at his friends - actually, i must text him to see how he is getting on, if its anything like his sleepover the other day, they wontve had much sleep!!! - then DD and i had a lovley evening watching X Factor and Ant and Dec, problems next week though, strictly come dancing is back, and the horrible tv companies are putting them on at the same time so not sure what we will do!!!

Waiting for the lad who has been helping me with my patio to come down at the moment - ive offered to cook him lunch as a thank you, and today its going to be DDs favourite, my HM cheats chicken curry!!! - Oh, knock on the door, that will be him!!!

Indeed it was - so ive put the kettle on for a cuppa (keep the workers fed and watered, always helps!!!) so id better get off.

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Another decent night sleep, so not feeling so tired this morning, now have a bit of a dilemma.......we have a 4 day break in Devon booked for week comm 8th....its a Sun holiday cost £36.....this morning my friend who we house sit for has sent us an email asking if we can house sit for her 10th - 13th......if we sit for her its £90 towards the holiday next year and very little petrol, but we loose the £36 caravan..........what would you do??????? I cannot talk it over with OH he is umpiring at a bowls comp and will not be home until lunch time, am hanging off until he gets in........

Not a bad morning, the sun is out, but the autumn 'nip' is in the air, I love clear cold frosty type mornings..........Have a pile of ironing to do, will be tackling that shortly, them might spend an hour on the sewing machine. Have asked OH to call at the lottie and bring some more spuds for supper, roast prok cops with stuffing, roast spuds, cauli, carrots, and of course some green bean, how did you guess???????

Morning all. Waiting for an auction to finish on ebay - am the hopeful buyer. They are rather nice curtains and will fit the new house quite well, but I'm not prepared to go above my maximum bid. At the moment I'm safe by about £20, but a lot of people tend to pop on at the last second, so it is a little tense round here.

  • Hi all, haven't been able to get online much all week but have read the daily as and when, so hugs to all those who need one and hugs to those who don't but who would like one anyway ;)

Nice and sunny here today, I really fancy a long walk in the country but don't like my chances, OH is messing about with both the hoover and the dvd player, not sure what's going on with either of those but I think it's a 'man' thing :rotfl:

I have a HUGE heap of ironing to work my way through so that will take up most of my day I expect. I also sorted through my winter wardrobe yesterday, took about two minutes and then I threw most of the worn out stuff out leaving me with about one pair of trousers and one jumper so I have got to get cracking on sewing some warm stuff otherwise I will be covered with embarrassment and little else.

I think we'll have veggie burgers and potato wedges for lunch, would love a proper Sunday lunch but with one carnivore and one veggie in the house along with me, who's ambiguous:rotfl: I don't have the energy to create two different sorts of roast at the moment. I'm dreading Christmas especially with a crotchety granny along who will quiz DD on exactly WHY she doesn't want to eat turkey. Sigh.

    Have a great day everyone
    Love

Did all my ironing last night whilst watching old eps of The Naked Chef, and drinking copious amounts of tea. Ooooh the thrill of it. I know Nelski was especially jealous of my weekend antics :rotfl: The joys of motherhood and no babysitters :D

Jealous is not quite the word I would have used:D :D  but hey with all that cooking you are doing today I may need to drop round when the kitchen men are here - dont want you to have to waste any;)

Aussie - I am so jealous of your weather - I miss the heat so much
Mrs M - That sounds really lovely will be making some for lunch:D
Rzl - For £30 eat all you can I would be making sure I was very very hungry and my tupperware containers were neatly stored in my fashionabley oversized handbag:rotfl:
Pink - Hope you had a fun sunday morning;)
Hester - You are a very talented writer this should be a book
Redruby - Do you need a hand with all that vodka as I say I hate waste:D
    Shez - Hiya icon7.gif

    Morning

Its lovely here blue skys and everything but just really really cold - praying it doesnt start raining at all as I now seem to have developed a hole in my roof somewhere which when it rains is now dripping down directly over my bed - my builder came and looked on Friday but hasnt been back:mad: dontcha just love workmen

Today I am going to try to make the decision on my kitchen flooring. What do you guys think - Tiles, vinyl or laminate. I am after it looking like grey slate tiles which you can get with both vinyl and laminate too so I need to look at the pros and cons. I reckon vinyl will be warmer and easier to clean but I like the laminate ones too - Tiles also still an option decisions decisions:confused:

I must start on the kitchen clear out today big week ahead:o

hoping to be going out for a carvery which will fulfill my 5 a [STRIKE]month week [/STRIKE]day requirement:rotfl:

    Have a lovely day all
    Hugs

Darn, didn't get 'em. However, it turns out that DH did not like them after all, and was confused about which curtains I had put a bid on. So probably just as well!

Now we will go for a walk and maybe have a pub lunch with the children. Back to the drawing board for my 3.5m full length window. DH doesn't mind spending £150 or so, so long as it is something he likes, it's just a matter of finding something. I will probably end up buying new curtains just to be sure we have them on time. The room is like a goldfish bowl, can't be in there without curtains.
