Some PIP good news

In my case it was a new PIP claim. Form submitted 28 November, F2F in January, awarded standard care and enhanced mobility about a fortnight later. All very straightforward.
My best guess would be, that's how it is for most people.
But in your case I would surmise that you knew what you were doing when completing the PIP2, that you knew where to get the best evidence from with the ability to pay for it and at the F2F you were capable to controlling the assessment process to ensure that what you said was clear and relevant to the descriptors you had previously decided that should apply?
Most people go into the PIP process blindfolded. They certainly don't complete the PIP2 with the descriptors in mind nor do they understand what is relevant evidence and what isn't.
At the F2F they are controlled by the assessor not feeling able to give full and relevant answers. The ones I have talked to all say the same thing - the assessor does not want to hear anything other than the first thing the claimant says.0 -
Thank you Devon_guy. I noticed you posted about the dwp not receiving you report. Do you know how long it took for them to receive it after the assessment. I had mine on 14th April good Fri and still not received on 26th. Just a bit worried.0

It just means they're doing some checks (not on you) The chosen files that go to audit are totally random but it can delay the process in sending them back to DWP. I wouldn't worry as i'm sure they'll recieve it soon.
I have heard that when the files go to audit they can tell the assessor to change what the they wrote. Whether that is a good thing or not, I don't know.0 -

Just one of many posts that I have picked up on over the years.
I know what you mean but the amended report still has the initial nurses comments like "cannot use a conventional cooker but can use a microwave", so you would assume that it would score 2. Then underneath it has been added to by the auditor saying "Can drive himself to work so can cook a meal" and the score is 0. Really looks like I initially scored an 8 and then it was audited down to 4.0 -

I suspect poppy12345's point may be that the DM (auditor) does not instruct the assessor to change what they wrote. As I understand it they make the decision themselves and amend the award accordingly
It would be helpful if you could support your assertion that they do tell the assessor to change their paperwork with solid evidence and supporting links

Odd that the poster is concerned is now claiming knowledge of PIP descriptors, whereas they previously claimed complete ignorance and hence the failure of their own claim.:)0
