The £100k home challenge

Been monitoring the £0-150k end of the market here for 10+ years now, you used to be able to get 3 bed ex-council semi's for under 100k. The only thing you can get for under 100k now are flats, non standard construction, chalet and the worst area in terrible condition properties.

One thing i am am finding especially over the last 4 years is that the lower end of the market properties have really gone up in price and sold quite quickly in comparison to the properties worth over 300k whose prices seem to have stagnated somewhat.

Yep it's Eastwood but still under Leigh - ie no actual obligation to mention 'Eastwood'. If you check on the RM postcode finder, it only gives Leigh on Sea as the address.

My aunt and one of my uncles live in Eastwood.

I'll be south of the London Road so 'proper Leigh' (actually maybe Chalkwell, but again not actually obliged to use that as it's not officially an area as such, although I prob will if we're that side)!

Hmmm the only property within 5 miles of where I used to live which is SE for under £100k is a 1 bed apartment, over 60s only and on a crazy busy road:

10 in my area- mainly 1 bed flats, a couple of retirement properties and one very small 2 bed terrace in the worst bit of town. I live up north, but within walking distance of a mainline station.
