Amazon prices and reviews

The customer is always right, but i believe for biggies it just remains a statement.0

The idea of a review is to let customers know your opinion of the product.Where you choose to buy, because of price, is irrelevant.0

I don't actually agree with this. It is relevant to the customer to know that they can buy the same item from a different retailer for a lower price.
I don't however imagine any retailer would ever publish such a review0 -

Having decided on the make and model we obviously checked out Amazon as well as others. Amazon were almost £200 dearer for the same, I wrote a review accordingly but surprisingly they would not print it.
Never rely on Amazon being the cheapest.
I'm not surprised!
The idea of a review is to let others know whether the item is good or not. You haven't even bought it at that point and you wonder why your review got rejected! :wall:0 -

No. I solely want a review of a product to be just that.
I'm perfectly capable myself to find out where it is cheapest so I don't want any nonsense about that being put into any review of whether the item is good or not.
Perfectly right the review got rejected, it had nothing to do with the product!0 -
I bought a mattress from Amazon. The product was excellent and I said as much in the review but I also commented on the delivery service as it was appalling. A supposed "white glove" delivery was nothing of the sort and the first one arrived absolutely trashed as it had obviously been handled as general freight at some point in its journey. Because I commented on that my review was not allowed as it was not wholly relevant to the product itself.0

I disagree with you. The review comments on the service provided by Amazon for which the customer is paying. Amazon sourced the delivery service so they are responsible for the state in which the item arrives at its destination.
I am sure any potential customers might like to know about this.0 -

Isolated delivery errors are not a useful guide for future purchasers. It might be different if this was a regular occurrence, but (even then) it would not be a review of the product.0
