Cheap laptop

Hi all
I know, yet another thread about a cheap laptop, but .....
I've been asked by a friend to source a cheap laptop for the following:-
General web-browsing
Facebook
Emails
YouTube
As you can see, nothing major and they don't mind 2nd-hand/refurb as long as it's cheap.
No real budget in mind as yet, just wanting to see what's available at what price.
They want a laptop as opposed to a desktop due to space constraints.
Any help greatly appreciated

Latitudes are Dells business offering and are very hardy.
Id steer away from the plasticky consumer grade cheap ones0 -
take a look at the Chromebooks, they are always a good option0

cheap tablet can do the job?0

I would look at Dell Outlet, they are reconditioned as new and also have even cheaper with scratch or dent.
To be honest your friend could spend £40 on certain Core Duo laptops on ebay and pimp them up.
So you really need to come up with a numberThanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
Definitely does not have the goodies of AP's selection, possibly a worse cpu - but I do not want to you rob of the opportunity to test and demonstrate your google skills.

Where it may win is robustness

The CPU is actually almost as powerful as a 6th gen i3 so it will cope with basic stuff with no problems... my sister even used to play The Sims 4 on an Elitebook with the same CPU.0 -
For a good solid refurbished computer try this Lenovo thinkpad x240 for £210. I have bought thinkpads previously from the same seller and they are good value.

Thanks folks
To be honest, I'd never thought of eBay or the Dell outlet.
I'm seeing her on Friday so I'll get a budget number then and let you know.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
