Bearing in mind I've been a real sloth with housework I've done pretty well today and this is all that is left:

Mad Tuesday ~ Living room, Hallway, Stairs
    30 minutes to spare...
    Dust those flat fluffy surfaces
    Got an hour...
Vacuum under the furniture you can move
    Clean windows, pictures, mirrors etc.
    Extras
    • Wipe woodwork in the hall and stairs
    • HHI...
    • 15 minutes filing

I rode earlier plus had my hair cut and coloured (couldn't really afford it but makes me feel so much better) and have been working this evening. Off to bed now but WILL be back tomorrow

Desperately trying to catch up and I've run out of time but need some Flylady Help!

I had my ears pierced last week  and I've been swabbing them with salty water as instructed but the right one is a teensy bit reddish and slightly sensitive to the touch today. Can anyone suggest anything other than just swabbing it more frequently, or is that all I need to do at this stage?

leave them alone and let it heal.. you dont need to swab with anything.. surgical spirit was advised 33 years ago.. but 6 years ago they just said turn the stud a few times a day and keep your grubby paws off them .. literally what they said!

4 binbags of school uniform bagged to go to a school parent.. not saving that for 5 years!

Mini-beast is so filpping clingy!! I swear I have had an hour today without her in my arms, it is driving me insane! I can get nothing done. she has just gone to sleep in mu arms and I put her to bed so she is screaming her head off.. I need some no-touching time! OH would have her but he is in the bathroom washing off his bug lotion :p

If DD3 doesn't get herself sorted for a prom dress this week I'm not buying her one and she won't go!! Simple as.. I am chuffed off with trying.. ungrateful little snot! I nearly killed myself to save the money and she turns her nose at everything.. I just can't be bothered any more.. it is only her who will miss out and regret it later on. She has linked me a couple of pretty dresses but based in China which are notorious for appallingly bad service and quality I'm not prepared to risk it.

Morning flyladies. It's a beautiful sunny day here but cold. I've got the back door open for a bit of fresh air.

HB - sorry that DevilCats news was not good.
Fayolle - posivibes for your DD.

No prizes for my cake last night but that meant I got to bring half back home with me. It will be ok with some icecream or something. Need to pop to PO at some time today to bank last night's funds now.

I'm planning to join a new club later in the week so will make a jaunt out to the village with the dogs today to make sure I know where it is. It's something I really want to do, but I'm concious that particulary in the summer months with bowls, it could mean I'm out 3/4 nights a week.

DH says he doesn't mind, but I may have to reconsider if we're not spending enough time together.

    So today:
    Dog walk in new village
    PO to bank funds
    Pottering

I may clean my new car.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

Morning all, cold here in Bristol so dug out my lovely polo neck I made so snuggly again!! Just got 3 jobs sent in so will get them done plus am meeting someone I arranged to meet ages ago but cancelled (cursed anxiety) so determined to do it again but feeling a bit jittery. Deep breaths and big girl pants are called for!!

Honey Bear sorry to hear about cat. I hope your ears settle down; they do go through a stage where they can be a bit tender but just gently turn them and then leave them alone if you can.

Bossy oh dear, I take it the piggies have mites then .... it is the time of year for it. Whiz had a tick on him the other day and it was horrid.

Pigpen nice to see you posting too. Hope DD3 does get a prom dress sorted but you're quite right to stand your ground.

    Right, best get on

Looking at yesterday's chores, the only one I didn't do was open the windows as we had almost a full cycle of weather - rain, hail, snow, brilliant sunshine on loop and even a crack or two of thunder!

Put through, hang up and put away 1 washload (3 in all)
    Empty dishwasher, load dishwasher
Put liner in blue wheelie bin (dustmen complaining about emptying this so may have to take the cardboard and plastics/glass/cans to the tip ourselves)
Boil eggs for week's packed lunches #1 (of 2)
    Put chickens to bed

Mad Tuesday ~ Living room, Hallway, Stairs
    Level One...

    Welcome Spendaholic!

Thanks for the tips on ear piercings. I think you're probably right for youngsters with robust immune systems Piggers, but I'm fast heading towards being a doddery oldie and the right ear became inflamed after I washed my hair. I've found a way of actually bathing the lobes in a saline solution which has solved the problem completely within 14 hours. *relief*

Thanks for the comments about Devil Cat, they're much appreciated. He's perfectly happy with his chicken slices and beef, and is becoming much less wiggley when we put his eyedrops in so it's all good at the moment.

Still haven't caught up with Fred but I have managed to get two monstrous paperwork jobs off my desk at long last and cleared the whole filing stack. Now all I've got to do is find two mugs that I put somewhere safe while OH was away. He's becoming obsessed with them.

Floor sucking done, lovely plumber expected this afternoon so that we can have hot water again. Good thing we've got two electric showers.
    Better is good enough.

I've caught up - hurrah! All of the urgent files have been dealt with at long last, so I can breathe a big sigh of relief. Some of them dated back several years and took a huge amount of sorting out, but they're finally done.

*Healing vibes* Lynne. Take it easy on the Flylady Sofa while you're gently picking your way through that drawer gibble.
Congrats GI on your DD's driving test.
Welcome back Mumof2 - I miss you when you're not around.
What a saga about the phone Narco! I hope they sort it out soon.
Bossy, sorry to hear about the mites.
*Job-seeking successfully vibes* for Mr Mumof2 and Mr Piggers.
I'm exhausted just reading the list Ionafan.

Devil Cat likes steak. A lot. OH has bought a chicken, ostensibly for us tomorrow night, but I rather get the feeling Devil Cat will be getting [STRIKE]a fair amount[/STRIKE] most of it.
    Better is good enough.

    Hello!

Only keeping on top of kitchen dailies today. Big assignment handed in, more books borrowed, and an interesting exercise at college. It's our last unit now, all about personal development and really interesting.

Kiddies have made those little folded paper things with the numbers on - you know where you pop your thumb and forefinger in either side and flip it back and forth and write little messages inside? What are they called? DS has written insults in side his the little s0d :rotfl:

Yes mumof2 we think boy squeak may have mites. He also has a couple of lumps but they don't seem sinister. Both have been treated and are un-separated now. Lol, I took the "wall" out, and he went straight into girl-pigs side and started eating her veg. She retaliated by going into his and wee-ing in his hay box :rotfl::T

    They do entertain me :p

Think it's almost time for bedtime reading!

    Away with the fairies
