    It was a recipe that started out from leftovers or scraps...
    The basics being tatties, onions, carrots, turnip / swede and meat...
    I think that every family recipe for it has evolved as it passes on from generation to generation, my Mam and Dads addition was the baked beans and Worcester sauce... I wonder what mine will be in time ;)
    Seen and tried lots of different variations over the years but I've never had any that I thought was awful. Always a good hearty meal.

    I add Worcester sauce to my stovies when I'm eating them. Everyone else in he family thinks it's weird. Glad I'm not the only one.

    Bit of a later than usual update. However, a nice wee MSE evening this evening... :D

    Contacted V with regards to the possibility of leaving due to price increases... long standing customer... would be sorry to leave but trying to save money etc, etc...
    RESULT!!! :D
    New discounted package with improved services :D
    It does pay to haggle. Either that or the lovely lass I spoke to truly did love my Scottish accent ;)

    I was a little concerned at first that maybe I had went in too hard with the "I need a deal around £40 pm or I will have to cancel" line. However, the lass made good on her word that she could sort something for me.
    Improved package, 18 months fixed and protected from price increases. VERY MSE :money:

    My advice for anyone else who is approaching the end of their contract? wait until its just before a month to go and then contact their "thinking of leaving" department and follow the MSE advice with regards to haggling for a better deal. Year on year so far I have been able to secure the deal I wanted.

    If I had not been successful this year I would have gone with an S package deal (Sorry Cumbria lass... :( )
