Hi to Mudbath and Princesssparkles thanks for popping in
I will hopefully be doing some baking today once I've caught up with housework / chores.
Thanks for the tip Princesssparkles my local library does do e-books. However, myself and a group of friends have a huge shared collective library of e-books which we refer to as the unseen university library, don't think I will ever be short of something to read
Well, as usual on a Sunday I have a list of chores which need doing so i'll be offski for now to get em done
Be back soonish...
Have a lovely day folks

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Just catching up and pleased to read all sounds good, apart from the hangover, and that you survived wearing a suit
I love how you always sound so content with your lot.

Awww thank you missus
and you too Hidden
I think I have learned contentment as I've got older. I still have my dreams and future goals and I feel more certain now about achieving them than I was before I started on my MSE journey.
Thanks

It's about finding pleasure in the simple things and taking life one day at a time whist still having something to aim for that's achievable. Unfortunately a lot of people don't realise this until they get older which is a shameI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Speaking as someone of mature years I wish I had done so many simpler things earlier on in my life but there is no point in looking back. Onwards and upwards.
Absolutely agree, I really wish that I had taken heed of all the good advice my parents and Grandparents had given me about living within my means and saving money etc.
My Grandparents were of the "make do and mend" generation. They lived through the Second world war on rationing and whatever vegetables they grew or livestock they raised themselves (both sets kept chickens) on a wee allotment and in their own gardens.
My hopes and goals for the future are really simple, debt free and no need for credit at all.
Build up savings and be content to live simply.
