It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

On their Facebook page they have a 3 year old mottled tabby female called Nala who is currently an indoors cat.
I hope they have the right You for you.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Hi US
Was just taking a peek through your diary - not read it all yet but went from most recent backwards to page 14 (odd way to read it in know Haha!?!? ;-)) sounds like you've been through a lot but are making great strides, well done to you !
Your baking escapades have inspired me to decide to use up a HUGE beetroot that a fellow-allotmenteer gave me about a week ago...been planning a choc/beet cake and gonna do as soon as I've logged off!
Re female doc who - I'm all for it too.. have fond memories of the old episodes from my own childhood as well as watching it when my boys were little in the Eccleston and Tennant years (but not kept up since! )
Anyway just wanted to stop by and cheer you on ! :T0 -
Hope all is well

Allo missus
Yeah, I am sorry I've been a bit quiet past few days as I have a lot going on atm.
Very busy at and with work.
Dealing with the BIG S and making sure that I stick to my budget etc.
Struggling with the health issues of My Lass and the effect it is having on myself and others...
I'm still doing my best and trying to stay positive about everything, though at times it is very hard to.
Good things happening are:
Have made almost £40 on surveys so far with more to come (PA and OO are the two best for me)
All my bills are paid and I know what I have left to last the month and I should last out OK.
I actually have savings for the first time in....erm... ages. It's not a lot, obviously and I need to be careful that the IP / Trustee doesn't just take it from me. I have declared it as "emergency funds" and so far it has been accepted as that. I am going to be making discreet enquiries as to whether there is a limit to what I can have in an emergency fund...
A friend has suggested saving into a cash box at home rather than an account... you know, whatever I don't spend from my allocated budget goes into the cash box...
Not so good things happening are:
I took last week off to spend time with My Lass and ended up not seeing her at all... She has closed herself off again after an old school "friend" made some really nasty comments about her to other friends. Thankfully her other friends have defended her and told this "friend" to get lost as she obviously hasn't a clue what she has and is going through... I'm hoping to see her this weekend, if possible... Why are some people just total lack - wits???
So, there are good things happening and bad things happening, more good than bad... but the bad really hurts...
Sorry, I am being such a downer folksBUGGRITMILLENIUMHANDANDSHRIMP I TOLD EM! - Foul Ole Ron

First off, the money into a money box is probably a good idea.
Secondly don't apologise. Life isn't always happy and this is your place to post what you when you want.
The good is very goodBills paid and enough to manage = Result
The bad - sorry to hear about your other half. It's difficult for you and unfortunately some people just don't care who they hurt with their actions towards others so understandable she is upset over her friend being horrible. She can't change them but she could cut ties? I have to say now I have NO social media at all it's made a huge difference to how I feel and behave Yes I know those who were talking probably still are but I can't see it. I don't have to pretend to fit in with anyone or be anything I'm not.
Hope this makes sense. Hope the other half is feeling happier and you get to spend some time together at weekend x0 -
Thank YOU HI (((((HUGS)))))
I'm going to have a cuppa and a slice of smiddy dumplin and do some surveys and read a bit on here...
I'll be back to my usual cheery self soon

I agree HI social media can make you feel quite inadequate, although I use FB to catch up with friends I rarely post. I get fed up of seeing the "wonderful" lives people are leading.
US - your lass needs to be assured it's the "friend" who has a problem not her. I'm sorry to hear she's had a setback. Aside from that, I'm glad there are more positives than negatives. Don't worry about venting on here, it's your diary, that's what it's for, we all do it. Can't beat a good rantI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
