Mr. Scot , you are still going great guns . There are always ups and downs , but you seem well in control. Love that you were playing some Korn while you were cooking ,and not Koran as it came up on my spellchecker . Sounds like you could play some motorbread when you make your next batch :)
    Keep it together

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Hope I can tell a short story about lemmy : One time as a 19 year old , I was walking down fleet street in the city of London on a Friday aaftrrnoon while taking some petty cash down to couts and co .
I was a messenger . My first proper job :) I used to always wear loads of metal t shirts back in the day. I had my ace of spades tour t shirt on this day when...
Met lemmy on the corner of Chancery Lane . Philty Phil ran away into a bookshop , and didn't want to talk .
Me and lemmy chatted for almost half an hour . Met him a few times .
    True legend :)
    I'll stop,rambling on now :)

He was and is a Legend.
I know quite a few folks who had the honour and privilege of actually knowing him and they have all said the same thing, He was a genuine gentleman to the ladies and a great friend to his mates and he had a remarkable memory for folks he had met over the years too.

If you cant have a gumble here Uncannyscot where can you? Feel free to rant.

I hope you other half feels better soon. That friend is not a friend really, sounds a wazzock actually.

Some money in a box may be a good idea, especially if you think it may be taken. You need some emergency fund. I keep a little in a fire proof one with papers.

Hope your lass is coping. As I said to you before, it is difficult to see someone you love so unhappy but she can and will get through through this. Support is the best thing you can give her just now. It might seem at the moment that she doesn't want to know but she will come to appreciate all the help she is given. Depression is a very misunderstood condition.
On the positive side you're doing really well and I would agree with a money box for an emergency fund. You just never know when you might need it,
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Thank you Toni'sfriend

Thanks everyone for your kind words of support.

Depression is a very misunderstood condition... She does have a hardcore few who understand more than most and she does / will appreciate that she has that support...

I shall be going with the strongbox idea for savings. Friend who went through the BIG S a few years ago did the same; they cannot take what they don't know about she said. Idea is to withdraw money from account for shopping etc as budgeted for and whatever is not actually used goes into the strongbox.

OK, time to get started on work for the day...
Will pop on and off throughout the day.

    Have a great day folks.
Don't let em grind ya down ;)
