Well, today was a happy / sad day...
Myself and the Mad Squad hiked a route that we'd not done since we were all about 16/17... we reach the summit of the main peak and put stones on the cairn there and then one of the lads noticed that the fence post that we'd all carved our intials into all those years ago was still there.
It was happy / sad because we were happy it were still there and sad because 3 of the team are no longer with us...
We all touched their intials on the post and then as one we all formed a circle, snapped to attention and saluted in silence for two minutes.
We are going back in the next few weeks to lay a wreath there and then around rememberance time, we are all going to the memorial at Spean Bridge to lay another, where their ashes rest with those of their brethren...

I received an e-mail from V-media that the cost of my pakage would be going up in October by £3.50pm and thought, "Oh, do you *expletive deleted* think so? Well, I don't! " :mad:
So, I calls em up and I got through to their retentions dept. After explaining the nature of my complaint to a lovely Scottish lassie (I was nice and polite), I was awarded a discount and a new 12 month contract which knocks £10pm off my existing monthly payment (£13.50 off what the future payment would have been :j:j:j:j
So today has been a very :money: day for me

Sad to read about your dear departed friends. Sounds like you paid homage to their memory and the wreath and memorial sounds spot on. Brilliant that their mates will never forget.
