I used to love AVG too - always used their free program but like you couldn't get my pc to upgrade to 10 because of AVG still lurking. Not being that techy - I can do a lot of things but that defeated me - I paid a local pc guy to sort it for me. He said he should have charged me a lot more than he did as it was so long-winded for him to get rid of it.

    Evening Folks :D

It looks like the only casualty in my PC rescue mission is my Office 2013 Professional :(
I am getting the invalid product key error when I try to re-activate it. It is genuine, it's just being bloody awkward, I think... Have Installed good ole Open Office for now (may actually just stick with that...)
    So far, all good :D
    Quicker PC, happy me :D

Don't worry about the spreadsheet tutorial, that can still be done and I am still working on it ;)

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    ...sorted Office :D
Had to resort to telephone activation but it now works fine. Happy days :j

This evening I am bottling off another of my brews for conditioning... Old Farter ;)
Will be busy with that for next hour or so.

Be back later when done

Frozen moors and mountains sounds wonderful (I love the far north but currently live somewhere too flat and too far south).

A budgeting spreadsheet guide also sounds brilliant, would be a really kind thing to do - I think I've seen you about on DoingItAnyway's diary and we were just saying good alternatives to YNAB are needed.

    Hi RosaBernicia

    Thanks for popping in :D

Now that my PC is running fine, I hope to get that up as soon as I can. Will be keeping it as basic and easy to follow and use as I possibly can.

Off now to get my brewery sorted ;)

Just finished cleaning up from bottling off the brew... took a bit longer than anticipated. Cleaning and sterilising syphoning equipment, dispensing barrels, bottling taps, bottles and caps before bottling and then cleaning all the equipment and the fermentation barrel, lid and airlock afterwards.
However, all done now and with less wastage due to the new sediment filter.
Now to leave it to bottle condition and it will be ready in time for Hogmanay

Away to my bed now... I'm knackered... G'nite folks

  • Morning Uncanny,

Glad you finally sorted the PC out, DH had trouble with AVG and has sworn never to use it again.

We had BSI visit site yesterday after their trip to HO, so you have my sympathies, hope that the paperwork is too mountainous.
