    Evening Folks :D

Despite the lurgy have had a good day at work today.

I have decided that I will write up a wee tutorial / guide to spreadsheets over the weekend.
Going to draft it all out first and then I will post it up... Hopefully, it will help folks to get to grips with them so that they can take advantage of them to better manage the pounds n pennies...

I am also going to edit the one that I use, so as to create a template workbook that may be helpful...

Tonight, however, is Friday and I am going to kick back, relax, crack a few brews and stick on a DVD... After catching up with you good folks ;)

Hope you have all had great days today

I am awful at spreadsheets. My husband is awesome. I use one as my timesheet, hubby helped me set it up, for one month. The screaming row we had over my complete inability to understand anything he was saying means I am now on my own:rotfl: it has taken a one time, but I am slowly getting better. I await a spreadsheet tutorial :)

What a thoughtful thing to do. I love a good spreadsheet and would be completely lost without mine!

I've been adding Xmas presents to virtual baskets and backing out. I just cannot decide

Hope you are feeling better . Homemade mince pies are the best , gluten free ones I haven't the hang of yet, they tasted a bit yuck.

The spreadsheet thing sounds great , some of us will be very grateful. I am not bad at excel but do struggle.

    Evening folks :D

Sorry, I've been outta the loop today.
    I've been in upgrade hell...

If any of you were eligible but missed the free upgrade to Windows 10... you can still do it...
The free upgrade is still available.

Microsoft are still offering it for free... search Google for "upgrade to Windows 10" and you will find the appropriate links to do so.

They are offering it free to anyone who uses assistive tech, e.g. magnifier or read aloud etc.
HOWEVER, there is no check on whether or not you actually use such tech / programmes...

So, if your still on Windows 7 or 8 and want / need a FREE upgrade to 10... go get it
However, be prepared, as the upgrade has taken me approx. 6 hours to complete...
    Shiny new OS though :D

Note as well, it's only available until end of this year...

Right then, back to writing up this tutorial...

Hope everyone has had a grand day today

  • Hope you’re on the mend Uncanny. That’s really nice of you to create a tutorial. It can be your Xmas gift to the DFWs!:

I downloaded the free Windows 10 a while back to my laptop. I prefer the old version though. But then I probably don’t use it to it’s full advantage- most of my IT stuff is now done on my iPad or on work PC.

Don’t eat too many of the finished mince pies!

Went away up North for the day... Mountains, snow and frozen moors, it was fantastic :D

Now I'm fighting with my PC :( Usual issues from upgrading to a new OS, it's playing silly bug gers with me... I will get it beaten into shape tho', thankfully it is not like HEX ;)

Wee mam and her pals have taken delivery of their mince pies... the two I managed to have were very nice, they've nabbed all the rest for their church do thingy...

I'll be making a BIG batch of my own through the week (*Shh don't tell them ok)

Thanks to homemade Chicken soup, hot toddy and homebrew, I have kicked the lurgy.

Tutorial guide is coming along and hope to get it up on here soon... once I've streamlined the PC and it's running as it should be...

Hope everyone has had a grand day today
