Yes, I've just updated to reflect calcs without standing charge although you cant actually get away from that.

That's excellent - I thought I was doing well with 12.18p/kWh plus SC!

I guess quite a few people must have completed more than a year with Powershop. Besides carteruk has anyone else done a comparison to see if they achieved a better rate than if they had signed up with another company when they started and by how much?

I haven't got the figures to hand but I know I bettered my initial quote with powershop by quite a bitbin my first twelve months. As that was the cheapest at the time I definately best all other quotes I obtained. Still u decided about my rate since price increase. I believe its marginally better than nearest rival (outfox) but there's very little between them

I see another time limited special pack has been released (called Treat or Treat Special pack).
Comes with a stonking 47.6% discount - £8.53 worth of energy for £4.47.
    A definite purchase.

Yes I bagged that straight away. I'm also looking forward to Thursdays big pack that they are pushing massively on Facebook. Hope it's as good as promised and it goes some way to offseting the large price increase ive been subjected to since October 15th

Just got a Powershop Topshopper quote for 1 year which is the best variable quote around. Too many posts to read here - is there one that gives a guide to how to manage this please?
EDIT: could it be as simple as buying every Powerpack that comes out? Guess this could lead to a rather large credit which, presumably, you don't get interest on?

No you won't get interest on it. To start with buy everything (though I'd be loath to buy March future pack at a mere 5% discount myself). The idea is you cover your monthly electricity costs by purchasing sufficient powerpacks. Under no circumstances let powershop purchase electricity at standard rates for you. Its hideously expensive. Now is a good time to join as the season of large discounts is upon us. Regular meter reads are also essential

There is a lot of knowledge to be gained by reading the whole thread from beginning to end. It really is worth investing an hour or so to read everything so you will have the benefit of being a knowledgeable customer, but at the end of the day it's your choice.

As has been said above - for now buy everything (I would give the derisory March Future Packs a miss) then, when you have a couple of months of credit, you can ease back on your purchases and only buy packs with a discount greater than a set figure you decide on.

This is quite interestesting. I guess ideal for those retired and/or with a love for spreadsheets;) I don't suppose there's a "powershop app" manager app that does all the hard work for you :-)
