You sure you were only offered one. I was offered two also albeit at 27 6% and a total of £9.30 energy each. If you've only been offered one then I guess not only are they taking length of service into consideration but also amount of credit you have. I joined in June 2017.credit of £81 or 12 weeks worth

I have £359 credit which covers me up to 10th December - that might explain it. I use about 8000 kWh per year. However just recently I've hardly been buying anything at all. I've just bought the Boys to Men special @15% discount but now I know what's going on re. restricting the discount available to longer (loyal?) customers, I'll set a higher bar in future I think. I may even go through my Power pack purchases and request some refunds now I know the score.

I was thinking of sending a message via the contact us page making clear how disappointed I am at this behaviour but I don't know what good it would do. Perhaps the best thing is to vote with one's feet and leave when a good/better deal comes up.

Ironically, those customers who took a chance by signing up to and supporting a new/novel way of managing and paying for the electricity in the first half of 2017 are now being penalised - very bad behaviour by Powershop in my opinion.

    Perhaps it's the Npower influence.

We did do rather well out of it while it lasted though but I agree. I've been very supportive and even pointed out errors to them which disadvantaged me to such as the no limit on the powerpack the other month. Almost seems like we were on a introductory rate

I switched over during the middle of last month. Electricity is with Powershop, gas still in transit.

My gas has not switched over yet. If I click on a pack and look at the t&c then it only references electricity:

    4. All discounts and savings shown above together with the amount of electricity purchased are illustrative and based upon the Powershop Baseline rate per kWh as at 30 April 2018.

    5. The actual discount, saving and amount of electricity purchased will be calculated using the Powershop Baseline rate per kWh current at the time the Pack, or part of it, is used.

I thought the powerpacks for gas would be on a separate tab as the unit price would be different?

This is what I see on the shop tab.

Just to get my two pennorth...

The two December future packs on offer to me have a discount of 27.4%, a cost of £20.19, a value of £27.89 and give me 7 days power. That's a total of 14 days power.

    I'm wondering.......

    - Maybe the higher discount is for Dual Fuel customers only?

    - Or are the "powerpacks" for Dual Fuel Customers for both Gas & Electricity, hence the higher discount?

Oh so you could still only buy 10.20 worth of December and 9.40 of November. You're getting a much bigger discount but quantity of energy is still small

I enquired in a quite lengthy conversation with a high ranking powershop staff member a few months ago how duel fuel works after I was quite scathing of their initial gas prices. I was told there was just one shop area to avoid confusion. The packs offered would be similar but all packs would discount both gas and electricity. Before the reduction in discounts I was considering duel fuel. I avoided the switch mainly because in summer I use virtually no gas so was going to reconsider in time for winter. Now it's looking like I'll do a duel fuel with zog when they start offering electricity in November if their electricity prices are competitive
