    There you go dave

May 1st and new powerpacks available

    All pretty good ones too

Simple saver with a 20% discount

    A new 11.3% jumbo

September future pack at 14.8% discount (better than last years 13 6%)

And surprisingly two October future packs

One at 21.4% and one at 14.8%. Both of those best 2017 discount of 14.5%

Quantity of electricity is reduced from 2017 still as you can only buy 4 x £3ish packs instead of 5 x £10 on 2017 but at least the discounts are returning to 2017 rates
  • Strange, I have only seen future packs for up to 3 months in the past - may be because I bought early?

However, looks like they have had a problem with the web page as one of the October packs disappears after I click on the other - I can only see the 14.8%.

    Hi mick

There were a couple of errors made with the latest powerpacks. The small print implied you could use September and October future packs from the review prior to July 1st

I queried this with powershop. It has now been corrected

I also enquired as to why we had October packs showing earlier than anticipated.

They said it is now the norm. They want to encourage prepayment for future packs so will be offering them a month earlier from now on.

Sadly as you say my queries have resulted in only one of the October powerpacks now being available to us.

I guess that's all we ever should have seen

Esp prior to pack name means easy saver promise

    Fyp means first year promise

Therefore it appears different levels of discount are being offered depending on how long you've been a customer

    Thanks Tafrock

I bought the simple saver, jumbo and 2 October future packs. I'm undecided on buying future packs for the summer months, don't think I'll need to as my usage reduces substantially.
  • Dave,

The October future packs can't be used until you have your monthly review in September...

Yeah I've re-read your earlier advice, I should buy the earlier future packs first! No problem, I'll buy the July ones at the end of May before they disappear. I'll get there! Got a lot on my mind at the moment.

My balance is showing that I'm 22 days ahead, not bad for someone who's only been a customer since 13th April. :)

    Hello,

I have been with Powershop for around 9 months, I only spend around £20 a month on electricity and I don't use heating - so £20 a month all year.

When I joined there were generous discounts on the monthly power packs and I could buy up to 5 x £10 packs. BUT recently, I can only buy 4 powerpacks from £2.18 to £2.56 each (discount 10% - 14%).

I also noticed that they released powerpacks for July - October within a very short time.

    I'm 40 weeks ahead and quite satisfied at the moment, I don't do the complex maths that some do here, but I just wanted to ask;

    - Has anyone else noticed the drop in powerpack offers? Do you still get £10 powerpacks?

    Thanks

The October powerpacks have been released a month earlier than usual mattR

I questioned why this is with powershop and they informed me they are releasing all future powerpacks a month earlier from now on to encourage prepayment for electricity

I have noticed the lack of £10 future packs. Hopefully they will return come winter. If they don't powershop may cease to be a viable power company for me as i won't be able to build up a credit over winter

I am paid up until October 11 at moment. Haven't bought many powerpacks at all since February and have reduced my credit from around £215 down to £158 as of today

Last winter was an excellent time to be a powershop customer

Hopefully winter 2018/19 will prove to be too
  • Today's May Day special doesn't appear to be limited to one purchase as it should be. I've just loaded up with loads of power packs with a 25.2% discount :j
