Powershop agree with you which is one of the reasons I left. I didn't take gas with them. Always found zog far more competitive. And my leccy was pretty consistent all year round.

Hi Tafrock mine were 2x £6.89 34%% off and 2x£13.42 at 29% discount representing about 15 days worth of energy. That's slightly more discount than you got last year but less than KTF got.
Like you I wonder what others were offered.

I wasn't aware that there was a Top Shopper 1st year guarantee - I can't see it mentioned anywhere. There's a "First Year Promise" guarantee, but that was only 4.18% off baseline. The Top Shopper rate, if achieved, was 26.4% for me.

The Price Promise - Capped 1st year Tariff - when I joined last year was equivalent to 29% off baseline compared to your quoted 4.18% - at a lower promise I would not have joined them.

"When you joined Powershop, we gave you our word that the Promise price would be the most you would pay over your First Year as a customer. As things stand when we recently checked your account, you’re on track to achieve just that.
To beat the promised price all you have to do is add a few more Powerpacks to your basket each month. If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll keep on saving.
You’re still covered by our Promise, so you’ve got nothing to lose - and everything to gain."

I agree with other members - winter discounts are being eroded over the summer but I am still >33% for YTD by avoiding the lower discount packs. My discount can't drop below 29% in year one as the promise will then kick-in. No doubt their algorithm is pushing me Packs to bring the YTD discount to 29% :)

As I say I benchmark price paid each month against lowest available market tariff on MSE Energy Club - if I am paying above market I will be motivated to leave.

Winter discounts are on offer already - November future packs for me are 34% and 29%. The intervening months are 18% and 14% so I have NOT purchased them.

    Hope this helps.

November Future Pack for me is 2 days at 34% and 10 days at 29% discount from baseline.

The baseline tariff is NOT fixed so we could see increases (or decreases?) per KWh between now and November??
I did check though - if you change supplier any unused Powerpacks are refunded in full.

I stand corrected. Last years November was 27.6% and year before 23.5% though you could buy a lot more energy at that lower rate back In 2017. so this year you can get £13 worth at the discount. Not a great amount even though the discount is impressive. I think I've done the right thing leaving because come november my costs would be higher due to a new price band coming in. At moment powershops top shopper rate (thats after discounts remember) is coming on at around £65 dearer than my new symbio tariff. The price of that symbio tariff is excellent but it has to be said symbios customer service is pretty dreadful compared to powershops top notch customer service

Yes moneyspice I left beginning of May and I got my packs refunded in full with no hassle at all. Your baseline tariff is fixed for a set amount of time. Mine was a yearly contract. It will tell you on your tariff details on the website its doubtful it will decrease after that fix ends

Moneyspice please check an earlier reply from Powershop to Tafrock on 31.7.2018 #714. Where Powershop say:
" Baseline Tariff is a FIXED RATE TARIFF". & "If Energy Market Prices go up the price you pay per unit of energy will stay FIXED"
So your prices cannot go up before October.
