I hate it when 'the list' (real or psychological) gets overwhelming. Have you got it written down? For me, it helps to 'capture' it on paper so there aren't random things coming into my brain, causing panic. I picture them as like the Harry Potter scene where the pixies escape and are batting round the room causing chaos. Even just capturing the one that's having a personal go at me is enough to calm the feeling a bit.

Winning the battle over ordering junk food is a big step in the right direction, and that's down to having access to stores. So a double win.

Keep going: the depleted current account isn't a cause for anxiety if it helps you manage cash flow and have the reserves to pay yourself. Once your DH is home the window for getting your head down and working will be a bit smaller, though perhaps you need the stimulation of having someone around? Good to hear some of the clutter may be moving out, getting other people to do things is a bigger battle than doing it ourselves.

I would have found your Saturday activity draining as well, but how lovely to have a new friend! The weird dreams suggest that perhaps the day was stirring up things that had sunk down (think 'in the mud at the bottom of the pond'): with a couple of days for things to settle, are there things to be addressed? Or perhaps it was just your subconscious sifting the necessary and unnecessary from the day.

How nice to have the early Christmas present!

Congrats to DD and also on the PB contributions!

That sounds lovely that you've met a potential new friend, and it makes the effort you made to go worthwhile.

It sounds like an interesting day. Hope you keepin touch with the friend you made. The dreams sound interesting…..maybe a consequence of the mindfulness 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • I haven’t a clue about the dreams, thankfully they haven’t recurred.  Yesterday I was due on site with 2 clients, one changed to teams which was great, the other went well and accommodated a time change I requested.  This was needed as I had loaded the car to go to the newly reopened post maintenance recycling centre that wasn’t open.  I either had to unload the car or go across town post teams meeting. I went across town.

Lots of paper, cardboard and a mattress were disposed of.  I came home via a friend and offloaded the frame from last year’s Christmas wreath onto her.  It is the sort of thing she will use.

Dinner last night was from stores as the fridge needs a restock.  On the plus side, money off vouchers from mr t arrived yesterday so a small saving will be made. Another batch of stuff has been sorted and will be recycled today after I drop dh into work. Small bits of work are also being progressed and the pb were bought and sig updated.  This will be further updated on Sunday after the dreaded weigh in.

    today I am grateful for
