Sorry your day got off to a poor start. You've done so much lately, maybe you needed a duvet and aero retreat for a bit. Take care.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

You may have created a run on mint aeros... sounds too nice not to do.
As others have said, maybe you need a duvet day. I know I can push on for so long then it's as if my body takes charge and I have a 'useless' day just doodling around on the computer and wearing pyjamas and stuff like that. It feel like a waste when I've fitted so much in on other days but really I think it's a defence mechanism that helps us rally for the next lot of forging ahead.
Try to focus on and celebrate the things you get done, however small they seem, not all the things you would do if you had endless time, energy and cheerleaders. Sometimes getting out of bed deserves a medal. And you can always come and talk to us lot if it helps.
Hope today is better xI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

You lot are amazing. Thank you so much. OH was off work today and we got a few things moved forward. I've also identified a tender opportunity for which I am eligible. The next two or three weeks are going to be manic both work wise and home wise but I've gotten through worse and have come out the other side. Just need to remember this. Tonight I dropped off exam congrats cards to one of my nieces who did really well at gcse and a birthday present to my nephew. We got takeaway for dinner and, by doing so, kept the clean and tidy kitchen clean and tidy. How's that for justification!
There's lots more to be done tomorrow and Sunday but I can now see a way through. Chilled out this evening in front of masterchef. For a change, I think the right two went through.
Today I am grateful for

Hey there sounds like so much going on with you make sure you take care of yourself - mint areo in bed sounds just the tonic.
Thinking of your business and wishing it all works out well. Must have been something in the air last week DH and I had a snap-fest which is unusual for us. Its OK now but unpleasant for a day or so just feeling a bit unsettled by a wee row. I think I need an extended ostrich feather duster in my life!
Have a great weekend and hope the week ahead isn't too burdensome or busy that it feels frazzled.

Yesterday and today were flat out. So much got done inc the kitchen painted, bathroom curtains hung, skylights, various windows and even the fanlights have been cleaned. They were so bad that I first dusted to get rid of cobwebs, brushed down and then washed and polished. We identified one item to depart this house which has been consigned to the garage in the meantime. I also got a tiny bit of work done and helped OH with his application for temporary promotion. I was rewarded by a dominos. We would have had two car free days except their current bogof was on collection only so we did. Our guests arrive tomorrow and, although things aren't perfect, we got some stuff done that will benefit us when they have gone. I still haven't managed to get a quote for the car repair but hope this can be done tomorrow. I also need to see if I can get funded for a private surgery from our top up healthcare provider. Fingers crossed this can happen. Finally tomorrow I need to take advantage of the final day of the sainsbugs wine offer which I can combine with a money off voucher. This shall bring us to the 15 bottles of fizz needed for next March. I'm shattered and clearly rambling so will go.
