Where has the week gone? I've been working. Yay! Got back from my Monday evening meeting at elevenish. Was back on the road at 8.15 next day and it was 12 hours before I made it home. Loving being back working on this sort of stuff. The group is an absolute mess but fixable with a fair wind.
Yesterday I got a few housey things done, entertained a caller and had a hospital appt. first time seeing this consultant, didn't like his attitude.
Afterwards, visited m&s on way home. £30 spent on offers and whoopsies some of which have already been consumed. While in the south on Monday, I visited an aldi. Got 5 200g packs of stuff needed for March project. These were approx £1.67 each while cheapest I could find here was £1 for 100g. Need to put against project costs though. Also confirmed a booking yesterday which needs a £350 deposit. This will be paid by credit card on tues for inclusion on statement to be paid end of September, start of October.
I was supposed to meet a friend for lunch today but am crying off. Since this was arranged, we have both booked on the same free event next Saturday so can catch up then without additional cost, travel, etc. I'm also back in dublin tomorrow so need to get a fair bit of work done in advance.
I managed to score a PA survey yesterday. Only need another £8 to cash out and I'm hopeful I will get that this month. We now have 5 items on ebay ending on Sunday. I'd say there are probably another ten sitting ready to go but I can't nag OH too much as he cut the grass front and back yesterday after work. He mentioned this morning that there is a possible temporary promotion available from next week. He will have to compete for this but it'd be great if he got it and not just for the extra money. He is so good at what he does.
Anyhow, need to get things underway. Tomorrow I will stop at sainsbugs on way back from dublin to use a voucher and stock up on various items. List making is required. Here's to everyone having a good day.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. So, Thursday I decluttered a mag and emptied bins in advance of the Friday bin collection. Yesterday was a dublin day but I think I've managed to conclude fieldwork now. Just write up and reporting needed. Stopped off in sainsbugs on way back as I had a £10 off a £50 voucher and we were running low on certain housey things as well as some groceries.
I also got through a revised business insurance quote which is £100 less than the initial one. Am now deliberating. Should I pay on my personal credit card in one go or by instalments from my rapidly vanishing business account. I haven't paid myself last month's expenses as I'm concerned about the lack of funds. Silly since it's all my money but I do have comfort thresholds. Had a friEnd swing by on Thursday evening to whom I was able to gift the last of the raspberries. We had a bumper crop this year and the freezer has masses and lots have been gifted. She also got a home made sweet loaf from the freezer that she is rather partial to.
This weekend needs to include a freezer sort, in advance of my guests arriving in two weeks time, cleaning, ideally hemming some curtains and possibly decorating. The curtains need to be cut up and I'm terrified of this bit so have been putting it off. My office also needs a major sort and tidy. Sounds like I'll be busy.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I must take my lead from you. I pay for garden waste collection and this week I didn't get the bin filled on time. Also I should be using my household waste bin to maximise rubbish out. I will do better
Good luck with the curtains. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

attempted the curtains. knowing i was a tad nervous, I cut / ripped lower down that was needed. just as well, straightening things up will be a job for tomorrow. I did make good inroads to the office / dining room. tomorrow, OH has said he will hang a picture that will clear another space. This was an unexpected bequest that needs a home. My overseas sis phoned today and spent some time guilt tripping me about my lack of contact with my mother. I'm not happy but she doesn't see any reason for me to struggle.

I hope so, I looked at a shelf yesterday and realised that items atop it have been quietly multiplying. It all happens too easily. My poor OH is currently enjoying a lie in. He has no idea of the chores he's facing today!
A few long work days but it's reminded me just how much I love the work. It was the toxic environment that I struggled with. Without sounding boastful, I am good at what I do. I just wish I could get more of it but, that'll come! Either that or I know exactly what area I want to be employed in. I'm fortunate that demand remains high though it would mean a reduction in salary from last job. Still, informeD by hours paid for as opposed to hours worked, the per hour rate wouldn't be that much lower.
Today I must face the wrath of mr wii and I must update my sig to reflect another mortgage payment made. TheN lots of chores to be done. Fingers crossed for some ebay activity.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Sounds like you are gonna have a busy day INOD.
I'm in work & DH will be snoozing until around lunchtime probably.
Left him with the housework to do while I am out so fingers crossed it gets done!

Both curtains are cut and one is tacked up. Laundry has been done and no takeaways were consumed this weekend. Four more items identified for ebay that, should they sell, will bring in a reasonable sum. Picture has been hung so a few permanent as opposed to recurring tasks completed. My OH overstepped the mark today. Just because he'd completed a job, he thought that it was OK to mark it off my to do list. Really?
Friend got out of hospital today after another stay. Am not sure that this is par for the course re chemo but she filters info as she doesn't want people worrying. Still at least she's home now. Overseas nephew called for a chat which is lovely.
The bad news is that mr wii shouted loudly that my one pound weight loss has been reversed.
Today I am grateful for
