Lovely to hear your good news! I wonder if another letter of complaint to the PO is in order? Though I can well understand you're fed up with chasing other people's errors.

You’ve had a productive day. Well done on the premium bond win :money::beer:

  • Thank you all. I can’t believe how much that win lifted my mood. Yesterday was spent between two clients. One was great and least said about the other, the better. Me and the manager are approaching a showdown. It appears part of yesterday was spent doing something I specifically told him not to do. I’ve had enough. Monday will be a day of reckoning as I need to lay things out clearly before disappearing for a few days after my procedure.

We got home yesterday to find parcel delivery had been attempted and will be retried today. Looks like it’s our tiles which is good. I will need to chase up the builder this weekend about timing. This is the first weekend in months that a particular report hasn’t been hanging over me. I didn’t take much work but I just kept putting it off and I just feel like I have a weekend rather than that item on a to do list. I just need to be more disciplined.
Today I have a facial booked for 3.30 paid for by my son’s mother’s day present. I want to get my skin as clear as possible before my procedure to give me the best chance of healing. I will also fill the testing strips prescription so I can do day by day monitoring around the time of the surgery.

Yesterday I gifted an item that I had wanted to leave the house and the recipient appeared happy with it which was good. Today I am going to be brave and tackle my expenses and drawings since April as these will be needed to pay for work around the house. It will hopefully also prompt me to finish off a job so I can get the invoice issued as there has been disruption to funds heading into my business account for a variety of reasons.

    Today I am grateful for
A lazy Friday evening with a dinner from leftovers
A good result for a client yesterday
    Something to look forward to

Hope the procedure goes well and it’s a quick recovery. When do you have it done?

  • I going Tuesday afternoon. It’s hopefully very minor but it’s removal of a small growth that’s attached in the fold at the side of my nose. Any scarring etc really will be as plain as the nose on my face! This may be the first of a few to be removed but they want to see how it heals.

Yesterday was a bit of a nothing day bar the facial and picking up my test strips. DH drove and dropped me off and i walked back. This was just as well as I dread to think what my bs would have been if I hadn’t. The only positive I can take from my reading is that it’s two points lower than before the blood sugar diet with 160g of drugs no longer being consumed. I have been both self indulgent and careless and that has to stop. Mr wii showed a 1 pound increase this morning. I’m still overweight but not for much longer if this continues and I really don’t want to find myself back in the obese category.

Today I am having a bit of a pity party. I am giving myself an hour to sit and read and then hopefully drawing a line under it for the rest of the day. We will see how that plan goes.

    Today I am grateful for
    A timely discovery
    DH trying to make inroads
    Opportunities

Maybe just get one thing done and celebrate that? You are under a lot of pressure at the moment so I think you'd be fully justified in cutting yourself some slack (if only to help you keep on track with the really important things like blood sugar).

Hope all goes well with your procedure: they will do all they can to minimise the scar, I'm sure. There are some incredibly skilled surgeons out there!

Good luck for Tuesday. The bs will be easier to control once the procedure has been done - something less to stress about.
