i will be disgusted if brexit is now watered down and the customs union stays along with or without the single market.
I think that option has increased significantly in likelihood, obviously personally I would be pretty happy with a Norway style deal!0 -

You'll get your will of the people, just the will of the people everyone (including the Remain voters) want.
Nothing wrong in that💙💛 💔0 -

Boris scares me, he'd either be massively successful or massively unsuccessful.0 -
All this soft/hard brexit stuff is premature, and always has been.
The EU27 will negotiate the exit price and the citizen status.
After that, if they choose to offer single market access, the question is what price.
You can't say what quality the deal will be until you know the price!
Politically, if the price is seen to be too high, then expect a resurge in nationalism in years to come.
Regardless, have a bit of patience. See how Juncker & co deal with a few arguments and disagreements first.0 -

I think Amber Rudd. She now has a very low majority though.0 -
"The 'Conservative Unionist Negotiation Team' for #Brexit have requested that their acronym is not used"

You miss the point entirely.
There is an 'off-the-shelf' EEA/EFTA deal awaiting us for the taking.
Very little negotiation required - and that gives us all the economic benefits we enjoy today but also lets us take back control of fishing, justice, etc....
And more importantly - it's likely now the ONLY deal she can get through parliament.
Any notion of a hard Brexit is dead.... It's over.
There's no need for complex negotiations - no need for wasting time - no need for damaging long term uncertainty - and the discussions around people and payments will take about 5 minutes as little will change on those fronts other than some minor tweaking to pacify those concerned about benefits.
A nice, sensible, centrist, compromise Brexit awaits.
No need to be so scared Brexiteers, worry not, everything will be fine....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Say that again bobbymotors.
Some of those words are a tad slurred.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.0 -

if we want the best deal from Brexit negotiated by someone who has the best chance of a good deal, Philip Hammond would be my choice.
If I were a Tory fearful of the future of my party I would say Bo Jo the clown. But that involves putting Party before Country.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
