So how do you think we should pay for the NHS and social care? Or do you think we should just borrow a load of money and leave it for the next generation to worry about.

I think we should borrow a lot of money and leave it for people like you to worry about.

corporation tax was 56 billion last year but with dates moved lets call it a conservative 45 billion. add 7% on that with labour and you get a rise in tax of 3.15 billion

Except it doesn't work like that - when Osborne lowered CT we got more tax not less. It's the Laffer Curve.

As it happens, companies are paying an increasing amount of tax. Even more significantly, they are doing so as the rate of corporation tax falls. There are two things that we can learn from that. The corporate sector is paying its “fair share”, and arguably more than it really should. And if lower rates generate more cash for the Government, perhaps we should think about bringing them down further.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/11498135/Why-lower-corporation-tax-means-more-for-Treasury.html
revenues are going up at the same time that the actual rate of corporation tax has been coming down dramatically. Corporation tax for most companies – there was already a lower rate for smaller ones – fell from 28pc to 24pc in 2013, to 21pc in 2014, and it is coming down again to 20pc this year. As rates get lower and lower, the actual cash received is going up.

So the LP plans will potentially lower the taxes received.

So as i said there is no evidence that he supported the IRA bombing campaign; Are the pictures of the Queen talking to McGuiness and of Boris Johnston posing for a thumbs up picture with him as well evidence that they supported IRA bombing? By the way Corbyn has met members of the Ulster paramilitaries and he said the minutes silence was for all victims of violence. What's morally incompetent in fact morally reprehensible is that you list incidents which you have skewed in a particular way gleaned from the right wing gutter rags as evidence that Corbyn agreed with the IRA bombing campaign. Even knowing your hatred of anyone left of centre, that's a pretty big stretch! The conclusion that I find hard to avoid is that there are some people who will do anything to stop Corbyn including accuse him of treason....a desperate, shameful smear!

    Moby you know he did......

    Zero hours contracts outlawed.

And Trade unions to be given tons of rights.
    Workers' rights

    • Creation of a Ministry of Labour to deliver investment in enforcing workers' rights.
    • Repeal Trade Union Act and introduce "sectoral collective bargaining" through unions.

At least with Corbyn you know who he is and what he stands for.

He's a liar. He could at least say - I used to believe in a unified Ireland and supported the IRA - instead of pretending he was "supporting the peace process". Then you could say he was honest. He's not honest - he's a fake.

As I am frequently informed, the only poll that matters is the one which will take place on June 8th.

Very true. I've said that before that the only poll that matters is the polling day results

Much can (and I'm sure will) happen in the week before then. ;)
Again, very true. Every day in this election campaign, its not appearing to be good news for the "weak and wobbly" Conservatives ;)

Such a huge question that I do not know the answer to.

Certainly, I believe from what I have seen that there are lots of efficiency opportunities to be explored.

I think also, there needs to be a tough review / stance / communication as to what the NHS covers.
Society has changed so much since the implementation of the NHS and maybe there needs to be a consideration of what is covered

    A reminder of Labours surprise result in 2015;

    ALAN MILBURN SPEECH 25/06/2015 (video - http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2015/06/alan-milburn-finally-confronts-labour-with-the-hard-truth-about-tony-blair/)

'Labours worst defeat in 30 years'

'In the South we won just 12 out of 197 constituencies outside London'.

With Labour you always get a ballooning State and more waste. An employee centric 'I know my rights and I'm gonna sue' culture leads to huge waste an inefficiency as the employee becomes the central theme, not the customer / patient.

The sky won't fall in though.

It'll feel great for a few years imho.

Remember those early days of Blair.....

...but that's my best case scenario...
