Hi shuffs
My DD1 was a goth or something similar & went to my mothers funeral looking like Morticia from the Adams Family, she wanted to dress up as a mark of respect to my mum, tho I told her she could wear whatever she liked, we finally settled on a black dress with an irregular hem a lace cardi with sleeves down to her ankles & a feather boa. MIL wasn't impressed, but my mum would have loved it. My DS wore black combats & a black tea shirt, worn inside out as all his teashirts had obscene saying on them, lol.

Afternoon all,
Have to go to Lidl today as bought some chicken from them, put it in the freezer, then took it out last nighht and it was completely rancid, so I would like the money back for that. Also have to go to Mr T as have 5p off fuel voucher to spend (if I can find it ). Other than that, not alot going on here - OH gone fishing again.
Oh yeh - got to do my car insurance!!!
Hope you have a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Oh dear! I did laugh, but................. My DH has just been stung on his family jewels....................................0

Took my little fella ILO on the field last night, came back and his paw was bleeding. He’s split his paw pad, probably on all the broken glass. Poor love kept licking it last night, looks better this morning.
Had to go to the docs yesterday for another sick note, got 13 weeks off. Don’t get MRI scan results till November (complete joke) but I plan on pestering the hospital to get a cancellation.
OH has applied for a couple of jobs, so keeping fingers crossed something will come up. Well that’s my news (how depressing I hear you cry)

Enjoy the wedding and don't worry what people think - you deserve a bit of fun.
If it is possibe to kick your own bum - i intend to kick mine and have quick shower - bake some home made bread and do a tidy of of the laundry baskets - then seek inspiration for tea tonight - migh make home made chips as we have not had them for ages.
Bought a cast iron fry pan from tesco a week ago for £15 (Le Creuset costs a bomb) and the cream enamel is already chipping away!!!!
So much for bargains!
Might see if Amazon still has offers on le Creuset.
Hugs to all and will pop back later or i could spend all day on here.
Welcome to Bexxie
Hello to Chalky
Hester
Your blog is funny and heartbreaking at the same time. The name Belle de Jour has already been taken so maybe you should think of a racier name than hardup Hester - madame de nuit?"This site is addictive!"

Afternoon all.................((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))0 if you need one and happy birthday to the birthday people...........
A bad night last night was still awake at 3.30am but made myself stay in bed.......have done a washer laod and dried it this morning and also cleaned up, so have a nice clean apartment now.
We have just had lunch and OH is getting ready to go bowling. I am going to spend some time on my machine this afternoon, am sewing out designs for birthday and christmas cards.....am going on a card making course on Friday.
Re the Stovies....OH insists that the onion is fried in beef fat, when I put the spuds in I have to toss is so the spuds are also coated and then cook it with the tiniest amount of water. I do use low fat corned beef, but I hate to think how many calories there are in that beef dripping!!!!!
Not a bad day its bright, but there is quite a breeze and I can see rather dark clouds on the horizon........
Heard from my friend Jo in the south of France, she always has a lot of visitors in summer, so communication is sporadic, he OH has had a very nasty chest infection and she is suffering with a frozen shoulder, they have had a bad summer too and she was saying they have a big problem with wild boar, they are coming right up to the house and eating everything in sight, she lost her tomato cropa and also all the ripe figs off her tree this week.
Right I am off to tackle the sewing machine..............have a good day.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Afternoon all,
Cold here to-day, was misting earlier but sun is making a brave effort. MY cold is progressing well, cough starting so will dose myself later on when there is no chance that I might go driving and try for an early bed.
Happy birthday MushyPeas:bdaycake: have a good day.
Five more litres of apple juice in freezer this morning, not much more room left will have to get rid of all apples before I go away.
PenPin...enjoy the wedding...I know that you have left, but vibes are going to you anyway...wheelchair enables you to move around, nobody else's business!
Jockettuk...nice to see you again
Bexxie90...welcome.
Odds...you are not kind...vinegar is the solution!
Frogga....please post early on Monday I will be leaving shortly after 11am
Plumduff...hugs to your dad
Nelski....think of the lovely kitchen you will have...need one badly
Lil_me...congrats on new house, getting keys so exciting.
Pink...natural to worry about LO...he'll be fine
Stefejb..hope that you are feeling better by now, enjoy your day
Nicola...hugs
Kyle...sure that your hair is great...enjoy the holiday
Chalky...glad to hear that Mr Chalk suffered no lasting damage.
Ellie...difficult when a dog is injured like that you feel you should wash and bandage but worst possible thing even if they would let you. Good luck to OH on job front
Elona....IMHO the best cast iron is the plain uncoated one which is sometimes very cheap...grey when you get it but turns black with use. Presume that you will take it back, goods should be fit for use for which they are sold.
Mrs Mix, hope that you feel better soon
No cooking to-day as cereal for breakfast, OH made lunchtime sandwich and DD3 is taking us out for dinner...two machine washes done and out on airers as it is windy here and don't need to chase clothes around the field.
Going to look for portiere rod....isn't that what you call the thing for a curtain over the door which swings to one side when the door is opened...will come up with something else if they are ridiculously expensive.
Have a good day all
