Well it is tipping it down at the moment.... still have the washing on the airer on the laundry room.... usually dries quickly...good thing as i don't have a TD... although for the winter i am going to get one of those airers that you can plug in to heat up if you need too.... only going to use it when deaperate though :D ...only uses the energy of a lightbulb mind....

Hope you have a lovely day penny, sounds like its going to be very special:T

    happy birthday mushypeas

plumduff... hope your dad feels better son...my grandad suffered from that ..its an awful thing to see isnt it... hugs to you and your family

Hi bexxie :D ....welcome on board

Hugs to everyone else i have missed....

Have given the bathroom a once over, cleared away my cook books n mags..they are back on the bookcase on the landing - but i will only fetch some more down later:p -the kitchen didn't need touching:eek: .... so thats everything back as it should be....Need to keep it that way -as im waiting for my invite from Grannybroon....(i found the post you were on about GB:rotfl: )to go and cook n clean at her house...;) .. oooh wonder if i could become a house keeper....just board n lodgings:p hubby would be happy enough - the combination of golf n whisky(sp) would be his idea of heaven:D

Well we are off 10pin bowling later... burns some extra calories... and it is so much more affordable here than in the UK..... about £1.40 a game:T

Think its going to be HM Savoury meat pie, nobbies, carrots, swede, cabbage, broccoli for dinner tonight..plus new pots for hubby... although hubby has requested that i shrink his meals a bit more...but can't decide what i can take off :rotfl:, guess i could reduce the amount of veg..i do like lots though ...im allready doing smaller portions... still i guess our food will be going even further :T ......

well i had better get off and catch up with everyone... hope you all have a good day:D

    Happy birthday Mushypeas
I has a surprise visit from DD & DGS yesterday, it was lovely to see them DGS was very polite & said hello to the lodger, even tho he's never met her before. They only live a couple of miles away & we meet up every school hols, but term time is difficult as DD starts work as I finish & weekends are busy as DSIL is in a band & plays football!!
I got up at 5:30 to record F1 qualifying for DH, we've now had breakfast & DH is watching the recording, the main race starts at 4:30 tomorrow, so another early start. Our video recorder is very old & timer no longer works which is why I get up to record.
I'm going to have an hour mad tidying the will have a snooze & then a shower.
I'll give lodger a lift to church tomorrow, but declined her invitation to join her.
Hope everyone has a good day what ever the weather.
    Hugs Hester

Happy Birthday Mushy Peas - Saturday birthdays are the best:j
PP that sounds like a fab wedding hope you enjoy

Well I have had a busy week at work and home. My kitchen people have brought the fitting day forward from the end of the month to Friday   so have lots of things to organise and choose which is lovely but quite stressful. Of course the big thing I really need to organise now is which houses I will be "landing" on around dinner time:D :D

Had a lovely night last night when I headed over to Sheffield with the dancing Panda to see her son perform in his band and GUESS WHAT (so excited about this:j :j ..........................I met Gingham Ribbon :j :j
We had a lovely evening - Gingham [STRIKE]got drunk and embarrassed us all by doing a lap dance[/STRIKE] is even nicer than I expected (which was really really nice:D ) and I hope she will share with the board the help and advice I offered her for her veggie meal planner;) :D We also met Crispy Ambulance (is that the best name on MSE or whaticon7.gif) Who is fab - we need to drag her from the arms over here I reckon.

So after a very very late night (some of you were up by the time I got back home:o ) I plan on staying in my pjs until lunch time when I am off for my monthly lunch out with my gorgeous god daugher and her family. Cant wait partly to see them and partly to have something to eat which we somehow forgot to do last night!!!

OS wise I may start to sort the kitchen cupboards out or I may not.

Have a great day all and if you get a chance to meet GR do so shes a legendicon7.gif

Good luck Frogga for the weigh in, plumduff I hope your dad feels better soon.
Welcome to bexxie :) Happy Birthday MP :D

Exciting day for us, getting the keys for the new house today, but also lots to do aswell. We're not finishing moving in (big stuff) for another 3 weeks as trying to do it well instead of rushed, use the extra time to declutter which I have already started. The boys are very excited about it as they haven't seen the house yet. DP is busy today so will just be me and the boys going over, cleaning etc mainly and taking some stuff over.

Hugs to all who need/want one today :) hope you all have a good day.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning all,

Nicola, So sorry to hear that you’re stuck in hospital, hopefully they won’t keep you in for 12 weeks.
chalky, I must admit to giggling at the thought of poor Mr Chalky with stain on his head…cruel I know! I hope he’s ok and no serious damage done.
redruby, I’m so glad you got good news yesterday!
taplady, Mrs Mcawber, frogga and the others trying to lose weight, well done on the weight loss!
elona, hugs, I feel the same as you at this time of year.
Haribo, hope all is going well with you and your guests this weekend.
    Bexie, welcome!
    Penny-Pincher, enjoy the wedding.
Belated birthday wishes to Essex boy, molieres mum and churchmouses dgs
And a very Happy Birthday to Mushypeas.:bdaycake:

Well it’s that time of the year again…we need to put the garden table and chairs away but, just for a change, we have no room in the garage after the summer. So clearing the garage will be a priority this weekend. What we really need to do is to is to hire a skip but I’m too [STRIKE]mean[/STRIKE] moneysaving to do that, so we’ll probably have quite a few trips to the dump/recycling area today.

The new fridge finally arrived yesterday...after 14 days without a fridge in the kitchen, it will be so good not having to run out to the spare fridge in the garage every time I need some butter or milk. :j

Mr Pink has taken ds1 to his rugby match and dd is working at her Saturday job, so I’m going to spend some time with the little one this morning. He loves baking so I’m going to make some muffins with him shortly and then take him out somewhere later. He has to have an operation on Tuesday….I know that I’m being silly and he’ll be fine, but even so, I’m really frightened for him.

Anyway, must get on with it…

I hope you’re all having a good day.

Morning all and speak softly - I am horribly hung over. Decided to go out with the guys from work last night for an hour and ended up getting the last train home. middle dd lives near the station so I popped in for i tiny cup of tea and to pick up my bike and ended up snuggling up with dgs at 3am. Got woken up at 6 something with him prising my eyes open and saying "wha' choo doin' 'ere nana" - "going back to sleep?" I offered hopefully but alas it was not to be :) It was fun though - me and dd are teaching ourselves to play the guitar and she had a friend over who is way better than us so we all had a bit of a jam and a singalong - they both have steel strings though so my fingers are sore this am.
Little dd was picked up by her dad last night so I am home alone for the weekend - yay! loads to do as I've not been home for two nights and I have loads of cooking to do as well. For various reasons I have not cooked at all this week but did a big shop on Tue and it all needs to be cooked today really - still next week should be easy

    Happy birthday mushypeas

  • Good morning!

Have done my charity collecting stint, and thank goodness it didn't rain:D It was cold and damp though, and with a cold wind. Now who decided that we should collect outside a bakers with all those wonderful, hunger-making smells?:rotfl:Trying to get warm now, and thankful it's done for another six months:D

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday MushyPeas!! Nice to hear from you.

Penny-Pincher hope you enjoy the wedding. It certainly sounds very swish!!! I don't expect anyone will think anything of your wheelchair, except what a shame your poor health means you need to use it. They'll all just hope your health improves:D

Shez enjoy your grown up time, and lunch. Go on, be a devil and dip your toes in the water:rotfl:

Pink (I actually love the colour, just not on chickens:rotfl: ) you are not being silly worrying for DS2. That's what Mums are for;) (check the job description!!) He will be fine, and you will be relieved once it's all over, but in the meantime it's normal to feel frightened for him. Have a (((((hug))))) and a:kisses3: :D

(((((hugs))) to anyone else that would like one.

Going to try housework to warm up, as sitting here isn't doing much. Except for the bit on the laptop that gets hot and burns my leg:rotfl:

    Bye for now,

    CMx

    Hi everyone
    Dark anmd cloudy here today

Well thanks for kind thoughts and giggles about Mr Chalky-- no ladder climbing for him today but he is still in one piece and didnt combust in the night!!

    Mushy peas-- Happy happy birthday!!

PP - Hope your happy day alleviates your stress and other worries.

Mrs Mix-- do hope you begin to feel better soon

Plum Duff- Hope your dad improves soon

Bexxie90- Welcome but be ready to become addicted.

Lil-me- How exciting for you all. Hope the new house brings you much happiness.

Pink- winged - Thanks for thinking about us.

Well DS is bringing his girlfriend today. She is making him very happy and we have met her twice and she seems lovely. There are however some problems ( too complicated to go into ) but 1 is that she finds it very difficult/ impossible to eat in company. TBH I feel really sorry for her so have tried to prepare food on plates so that she can just pick as much as she wants. I am going to be terribly relaxed and not worry so that she feels at ease9.Well try anyway!!!. Thought maybe Mr Chalk could do some table top dancing to alleviate the stress but haven't asked him yet!!!

Well sponge made, banana bread cooked ( so many squashy banans in fruit bowl)
So now just bits and bobs to do

Congarulations to all those celebrating and gentle thoughts to all those feeling sad or alone or just fed up.

Hope Jackieo is proressing well and Catowen is feeling brighter.
Try and do a good deed every day.
