Why do they have 2 gas tariffs with the only difference being 0.005p in the unit price ?Autumnella wrote: »The cheaper one is for customers whose tariffs are ending in May and June only.0

PaschalFun: well spotted! I dont know where my brain was at the time
yes I should have inputed 2017 not 2016 for my current plan. Still not sure why I have only paid so little for the year, though most of the year I was using very little gas and electricity due to renovations and living at my dads for a while.
Thanks everyone for your replies. I will read these tomorrow0 -

In which case you need to input realistic figures on the comp site. Start with 3,300kWh for leccy and 12,500kWh for gas, assuming a 3 b/r property with gas CH and DHW.
Even with part of the year unoccupied, those figures are unfeasibly low if you were doing renovations: for that you would still have been using lights and power? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hey macman, thanks for that. I will be using more electric this time round as I have moved into the flat and will be on my PC all day around 5 days a week using two monitors. Would these numbers still count for that sort of usage?0

out of interest, what do you guys think of EDFs June 2018 tariff they suggest? It looks to be cheaper than my current tariff.0

It is not cheaper than your current tariff it is cheaper than your personal projection assuming you do nothing and go onto standard variable at the end of your fix.0

ok thanks molerat. Will check out the price comparison. I dont even think EDF was on the list when I last checked.0
