This doesn't smell like DM.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Hello, as per my previous threads recently got a 2005 Honda Accord 2.4 petrol automatic. I am only getting around 45-50 miles for 10 litres of fuel and I use Shell V-Power. This is around 19-20mpg. I drive in town but I do drive gently. Is this normal?
50 miles per 10 litres is 22.7 mpg
honest john shows 30.8

I'm guessing you do short journeys. What do you get on a long trip?0 -
I wouldn't put the higher octane fuel in a car to pootle around town in.0

Everyone I know who has owned an accord has agreed on two things:
They are great cars
They are thirsty.
20 sounds reasonable around town.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Didn't to me either at first, but a few little things have crept in which make me wonder.
Still open-minded as the posting style is subtly changed, but there a few linguistic and structural indicators.0 -
20mpg in town driving is pretty good for a 2.4 petrol car. I get less mpg in my 1.8 in town0

i dont know what you guys are on about. Anyway I can accept 20mpg, and that's with the climate control on all the time0
