  • Thanks Cherry.
I've sat and looked through the reviews this morning and a lot have the same issues so I've took an even bigger risk and gone with an even newer company with less reviews but its supposed to be a saving of £289 a year!! Hoping it all goes ok as that's a huge amount to save.

I was also looking last night at freezer storage. I did look at foil and plastic trays but i'm now wondering if we should invest in some glass ones, about £25 for 5 but a lot more environmentally friendly and can be ovened or microwaved to reheat.

Shopping arrived and put away. Girls playing with slime in the conservatory, boys on games so going to have a quiet cup of tea before i try to get the little ones ready for tomorrow and all the tantrums that will go with it.

  • Laid in bed waiting for the girls to go quiet so thought I'd do a quick update.
Monday was a mad rush after finding out DD2 had no sole on her shoes! She had said they had a hole but I didn't realise how bad. Then paid DD3 school dinners at £63.
Tuesday I was at work, went shopping after as children needed underwear £18 spent on that. DH had some beer, another £11 and 15 gift sets for next Christmas, probably wasn't needed but the children and both Parents have a gift set and a couple of younger girls ones in case they're needed for teen parties through the year. Then dance for DD2.
Wednesday was quiet as DH had osteo followed by gym for the girls.
Thursday was spent cleaning after the boiler people asked to come a week earlier. Direct debit came out for CC.
Today was work and payday. DH wages seem to be a bit short, DD1 wages are very short. They've been out to quote for the boiler and it's a total of £420 hopefully should be fitted in the next 6 weeks. I spent under £5 on wraps, ham and cheese as it's all DD2 is eating. Then 3 hours of cheerleading and spent £22.50 there on comp fees for next month.

So we haven't actually spent lots on food but seemed to be lots of other things instead.
Well girls have gone quite so going to try to get some sleep as at work in the morning.

  • Good evening. Another quiet weekend. Spent £2.10 on the bus home yesterday and DH picked up bread and waffles on his way home. No idea what else he bought but he spent £22.50!
Food Shopping came today, really need to look at new recipes, so fed up of the same thing all the time.
MIL birthday tomorrow so DH been instructed to pick up cards and flowers, not sure he can be trusted not to get anything else.

Better go sort DD2 who is refusing to go to bed as its school tomorrow and she's crying that it makes her sad.

  • Good evening. I've been busy today trying to rearrange the living room to fit the table in. I haven't even got dressed.
Spending today was £15 gift and cards for MIL and £50 fuel.
At work in the morning then we have an appointment to look around an adult education centre for DS2 then 2 hours of dance so hopefully no time for spending money.

I hate seeing her like that cherry, it's awful.
Dont think DH has sorted his but it's only 3 hours so not quite as bad. DD went in the other morning to see her manager so hopefully she finds out tonight if hes managed to sort it (hers is about £500!).

Just popping in quickly to say I've not disappeared again. I've been suffering with my ear badly since monday, finally gave in yesterday and went to doctors. I'm on day 2 of the antibiotics but still feel like someone's stabbing me in the side of the head, sick and dizzy.

There has been a few small spends. The glass freezer tubs I've had in my basket a week, they were £25 for 5, was in mrT the other day and they had similar in sale for £2.40 each so had 5 of them and 2 larger ones for £4 each. Some yellow pjs for DD2 birthday (shes yellow mad), DH had a dvd and some beer and then my prescription.

Right, better get DH up for work.

The ear ache sounds horrendous. :( I used to get it as a child and still remember. The antibiotics should help.

I hope your DD gets her full wages soon. That's a lot of money!

  • Thanks cherry. I've never been in so much pain (I probably have but its lasting forever) I still daren't move and I've probably had 2 hours sleep all night. I've had 3 full days of antibiotics and every painkiller I can have, I'm hoping it eases soon, my house is a tip.

I have shopping coming this afternoon and I've paid £166.99 off next (min payment to avoid interest) I think that is all I've spent in last few days, haven't looked what DH has spent yet though.
Just remembered DH has received a tax bill to be paid by the end of the month too, I always thought being paid through wages would avoid that.
    Better go, shopping here.

If the pain doesn't let up soon, perhaps another trip to the doctor or pharmacy is in order? Though antibiotics can take a few days to take effect.

    I hope it's okay soon. x

Just popping in to say I've not forgotten about my diary. With my ear, poorly kids and work it's been busy but then we got a call at the beginning of the week to say they are coming to fit the boiler on monday! They originally wanted to come yesterday! It has meant completely emptying the girls room in to the conservatory and pulling up their new wood floor, it's only been down a couple of months.
Still lots to do but instead I came in from work and went to sleep, definitely wasn't planned.
Spending last month has been way higher than planned. 3 electric payments taken out, old supplier and then new one takes 2 payments the first month, hopefully will get some back from old supplier as it was about £400 come out altogether.
DH tax bill of £ 199.
Then DH asked for a takeaway on Thursday using the excuse it was my birthday, I was quite happy with whatever was in the freezer.
Cant think what else but bank definitely doesn't look healthy at the minute.
Right I better go, ive left DH doing the dinner.
