  • Cherry, he would love the attention! Hes got his own Instagram page already but don't think DD has put any pictures on recently (I haven't a clue with any any of that).

Luckily they are really supportive, still don't push me to do anything. I haven't been able to work self service since I went back, the lack of control makes me panic, on a till I have more control over someone walking off with their shopping. They've been really good with it.

I'm feeling better today but still so tired. I got the bus home from work, usually I walk as cant stand being so close to lots of people but I didn't have the energy to walk. I've been to sleep and fetched DD home from her friends.

Was going to get some of the reduced chocolate yesterday but had forgot my purse so it was a spend free day and today I picked up a 99p sim card for DS as his doesn't fit his new phone, it's that old and £2 bus fare.

Need to do a food shop for tomorrow as we are out of bread and milk.

Well I better go feed some kids and DH before him and DD go off to work. DD is hoping she doesn't get her 'sack' letter today. A few of the temps she started with got theres yesterday but she was on overtime, her official shift is tonight (I hope not, I cant pay her £50 phone contract!!).

  • Good morning. Shopping coming this afternoon. I definitely need to look at this, almost £100 spent but I've not ordered much at all. There is £20 on cat litter and dog food and some J2O/shloer bottles for the children as a treat for new year. There wasn't much food on there.

Spent the last few days trying to sort the dryer. I phoned the insurance but because it's less than 2 years old (by 2 weeks) it should be covered by the warranty. Because we took out insurance I never phoned about the warranty! Asked him what we had been paying £8 a month for 2 years for and it's just for accidental damage. I must look in to these better. After lots of phone calls and emails all weekend, Samsung are going to honor the warranty and get an engineer to give us a call to arrange an appointment. Hoping it's not long as we only borrowed the MIL's 2 weeks ago and it has stopped working. Luckily they hadn't used it for over 2 years so aren't worried about us replacing it.

Slept for 10 hours last night, was hoping I'd have some energy today but nope. Need to find some to get this tip sorted before the shopping comes.
I'm also going to look at the starting debt totals for 2020.

  • I have gone through the accounts and if no more payments are made this month we will be starting 2020 with the following debt. I need to check the 0% dates. The AO is 0% till Dec and the Next will be paid on the take 3 keeping it at 0%.

    Lloyds 9582
    Mbna 6450
    Barclay 2392
    sofa 1429
    AO 827
    Next 437
    total 21117

YNAB has been set to a fresh start from Jan (currently at -3500 as nothing been paid in to it yet but all budgets for jan set ready!) and hoping to make a better dent in the debt this year now we are both back at work. I'm aiming for £15000 debt by the end of the year, paying off around £500 a month.

Well done for looking ahead at the budget. Any news on DD's job?

  • She hasn't heard anything at all yet Cherry, but neither did we when we were kept on (itll soon be a family job lol). Just told her as long as she hasn't got that letter to keep going. She did have 2 weeks off with glandular fever and we thought they might use it against her but so far, so good.

Shopping came yesterday evening. Children asked for a takeaway as they haven't had one for a while. Where we usually have it form was closed. Hot to say it was the worst £30 spent in a while! It was cold and over/re-cooked.

Got up early this morning and spent £70 on shopping, I've got so used to doing it online there was lots of new things I hadn't seen before. Got staff discount and then used the £50 gift card from my gran so got a trolley full of shopping for £13.

Put a complaint in to mr T. Bought DD2 xmas eve pjs a while ago. She wore them xmas, been washed once and the picture has washed off and its faded massively. I know theres not much I can do now but as its still on sale I don't think it's fair for others to buy them.

Got repair man coming out to the dryer on Friday. Lots of cleaning and sorting to do! It's a tip in there but at least if I keep on top of it, it will be ready for when they come out to look at the boiler on the 16th.

Good evening and a happy new year to everyone!

Amounts this morning were a little lower than i posted the other day as a couple of payments have come out. So our starting point in 2020 is
next £321.34 0% if i pay it off over 3 months
    MBNA £6385.41 0% 2/4/20
    Lloyds £9581.24 0% 25/8/20
    Barclay £2391.07 0% 1/9/20
    Ao £827 0% 1/12/20
    Creation £1428.96 0% 21/4/21
    Total £20935.06

Tried to do my update this morning but couldn't get on the accounts. We should have been going to my grandparents for tea today but i panicked and cried about all the people in one small space and didn't go. I feel really bad as we haven't seen them for so so long and my grandad is very poorly. So today has been a NSD as still in my PJ's.

We have all been weighed today and we are all working on better eating and more exercise. My BMI was 26 and DS and DH 32 and 35 so think it will help with the food bill and our health to make it a target this year. I have joined the grocery challenge again to try and bring it down, really need to have a look at the cheap meals thread too as we are so fed up of the same thing every week.

  • Good evening. Another quiet day here. Not sure I want to admit it but we have spent hours cleaning in the kitchen today! Can't believe how much I have ignored it. Must try to find the energy to keep on top of it. Just need to sort inside the cupboards. We would like to reshelf the pantry this year with narrower but more shelf, there's 3 in there sat the moment but I can't even reach the back of them so things are getting lost.It does mean it has been NSD2.

All bills in/out today have been updated on the laptop.

We have been talking today about not having a holiday. I'd love to get away but as we both have to use holidays for dd comps with working weekends, my sister gets married in the summer so more holidays needed and if DD1 isn't coming we would need to look at a bigger car as we didn't replace with a 7 seat (DS would probably be happy staying home but I'd rather not have to ask him for another couple of years). Think we are going to make the most of the weekends away with DD and some days out in the holidays, if theres anything left at the end of the year I'll throw it at the debt.

  • Had work yesterday morning then the man came out to fix the dryer. Trying to get lots of washing done now.
New internet went live yesterday. It isn't any cheaper, actually £3 a month more but we never had any problems with this one before, the other one was rubbish and we often didn't get signal. Every time I rang I was just told to plug everything in directly, we have never had to before.
    Yesterday was NSD3.

Work again this morning, I caught the bus home, £2.10 and just checked the bank and DH spent £1.71 this morning, no idea what on yet. Bets are on a micro burger.
Not much else to write, very quiet here.

  • Just been looking at energy bill and looks like we could save £200 a year moving to utility point. It's not a company I've heard of before. Can save about £150 moving to British gas. Hoping if we get the boiler grant the usage will come down too.

I seem to remember some of the best deals are with the unheard-of companies and obviously £200 is a god amount, so perhaps you could see what reviews other people have given them?
