Thank you AdventureWanted.
Did a bit more cleaning but not much. The washer has been going all day. I have a wash basket full of things that need to go in on their own or not needed yet (like the picnic blanket) so have just kept getting put back in the basket. It's looking a bit better (the washing is to the top now, not spilling out of the basket all over the floor!).
Kids have been watching a film upstairs and DH has gone to work. I've just put a film on but thinking i might go to bed instead.
I've just looked at the office subscription, it's £80 for the year. I might have to do it as DD is complaining she can't finish her assignments now it has froze.

Just a quick update to keep track of this months spending. Last night i gave in and ordered takeaway as the children haven't done anything over the holidays and had been asking.
Been at work today and then done some shopping. Back at work in the morning.
DH has also ordered a part that he needs using £53.40 from the house account.

Hi CT - can you get an open source version of Word? Thats free. Star Office rings a bell, suspect there are more. Should have good enough functionality to let DD do her assignments x0

Thank you. I'll look in to it before buying. I have no idea with things like that. The one we had I had won in a works raffle and it had sat on the side for a year until DD needed it.
Just a quick post to try and keep me on target this month.
Had a busy day at work today. Technology is great until it decides it doesn't want to work. Should have been a NSD but realised there was no sugar. DH had the children with him so ended up with crisps (was a stand letting them try the new flavours) and waffles (for breakfast).
Beef that we should have had sunday is in the slow cooker and smells gorgeous.

Afternoon diary.
Ended up with another spend yesterday. Just as we were getting dinner out of the oven we realised there was no gravy so had to nip to the shop for some. Have added it to the post above.
DH has been doing some work today and needed some tools. He's just gone to try and exchange one that wasn't right so will update what he has spent later.
I'm at the doctors in an hour so will be another prescription and we need to pick up a few bits too, milk, tea bags, chilli (just going to put jacket spuds in for tea).
No change to the bank today. Just checked what we will be paid this month after my wage drop. Altogether we will have roughly £3389 coming in if neither of us can get any overtime and £3360 going out so it's going to be a very tight month with only £29 to play with.
Well i better go and get ready for the doctors in an hour, wont look great going in my pj's.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Evening. It's been a busy day! The part mentioned a few posts back was the part needed for the boiler. DH wanted to do it himself even if it only buys us a month or 2 extra to save for a boiler. The first 4 nuts came off in 45 minutes, the last took 2 trips to the DIY store and 4 hours to remove! As it was at the back there was no room for the spanner to get in so he had to fetch a special one (that wasn't big enough the first time). The new part went back on a lot quicker and took about an hour to put back together and at the moment seems to be working ok and when the hot water is turned on it isn't turning on the whole heating system. I was still wary of him doing it but for now it's working. It is only a water valve, he hasn't touched any gas parts at all.
I've also been looking at the money coming in and realised everything is on a 4 week payment so as I've counted it as monthly there should, over the year, be an extra £300 a month.
Been to the doctors and doubling my tablets, haven't fetched the prescription yet. DH fetched the shopping while i was at the doctors so was beer on the receipt as well.

Morning. Not much to post today. The refund has gone back in for the tools so will update that.
We called to fetch a bit of shopping before i started work yesterday and then when i finished DD1 met me as she needed some new socks and the little ones had just finished swimming so had a chocolate bar (reduced from Easter).
I still haven't fetched my prescription but i'm at work all day today so will put it in on the way in.
Cant believe tomorrow will be sorting things for back to school, the last 2 weeks have gone way too fast.
Suppose i better make a move,I start in an hour and not even started getting ready yet.

Was another busy day yesterday. I was at work most of the day and DH sent the children to tidy their rooms while I was gone. So last night I started on the mountain of washing that had appeared. DH text to say the children were hungry and there wasn't any snacks in (dinner was being done for when I finished at 7) so he went to T to fetch something. I haven't seen the receipt yet but I've spotted cans of beer, cans of pop, tubes of crisps and cartons of juice already so I dread to think how much he spent.
I don't usually eat while at work but had to have a sandwich as was hungry and then I fetched my prescription.
So no more NSD this week. They seem to be impossible to achieve. I've done a big shopping order, coming today, so hopefully this week won't be fetching each days meal that day.
We were going to go out today but so far only the boys are up so think it'll be a busy day at home instead.
