  • Morning.
Think ive forgot to add the cat food from the other day to my spending, £4.50. I remembered this morning as we have a missing cat! Can't find him anywhere and he is usually rubbing round legs first thing waiting for his food. Other cat is looking for him too as he usually eats what he wants first. Had the torch under beds etc. but cant see him anywhere.

Yesterday DH bought bread and milk and some cans for work I also ordered DD2 some bright yellow converse for £12.49. She absolutely loves yellow, most of her clothes are yellow and I know she will love them. Ordered a size bigger so should fit ok for Christmas/spring.

Looking at good winter coats for the girls last night as they have had theirs 2 years and they aren't that great anymore. Want warm waterproof ones that are suitable for school too. Fell in love with some on trespass but they are £40 each (half price in their sale).

Hope the missing cat is found!

You've done fab working out where to cut things etc x
  • Thank you HI. He was found about lunch time cowering under the hedge at the top of the garden! He has never left the house, he's actually scared to leave the house and we aren't sure how he got up there, no one saw him go out. He's had some food and now sleeping.

Spent the afternoon sorting through mountains of paperwork looking for the CC to do a balance transfer. Got rid of lots and lots of rubbish but cant find the card. That's what happens when I hide things, DH has a card in his wallet but it expired in 2015!! Shows how often he uses his wallet!. Requested a new one but if it doesn't come in time I might have to look at a money transfer at 4% (£307) fee instead of 3.5% (£268).

Shopping ordered for first thing tomorrow as DS has just told me it was the last nappy! (he has some provided for night). It's only came to £50, i'm sure I've missed something.

  • Have spent the afternoon sorting through the paper work. It was at least 3 feet high between 2 units. Paper work is my worst chore, we have most letters since we moved in 16 years ago. DD enjoyed the paper shredder though and we have filled the recycling tray and then 4 bags of shredded paper! I have found a CC letter and know that after this 0% the next one ends in jan.

bribed DD with dinner today, I knew she wouldn't eat it so told her if she ate a sausage they could all have an extra hour on games, it went down easier than I thought so I pushed it a bit more, if she ate the other they could all have some sweets! Took a bit longer but she ate them both! I was so excited to see her eat something other than beans and Yorkshire puddings. She has actually gone to bed tonight without coming back down crying she is hungry (and I haven't thrown food away!)

Right better go to bed as shopping is coming at 8 tomorrow, that'll be a shock to the system!

  • Thank you. I'm still a bit shocked, it's usually touched with her tongue out refused, hopefully she will realise not everything is 'yucky'.

Shopping has come this morning. Had to add a few bits last night but came to a few pence under £60 DS has already said I didn't get cheese spread so might have to collect a few bits in the week. Dh has now gone to bed and only 2 of the DC up yet so thought I'd check the bank and have a cup of tea. Sofa payment has come out, another £89 gone! £538 paid so far this month but debt total wont lower much once I've done the BT.

Good evening. Yesterday was a NSD.

    Today I failed miserably!

This morning was £34 on DD1 provisional licence.
Then we went for picnic food and spent £103! Need to go through the receipt but included lunch boxes and bottles, a CD, top and trousers for the little 2 girls and a dress for DD1. Was all paid out of grocery acc so need to transfer from right pots) (clothes £45, school £12.60, other £15.07 groceries £30)
We then went for a walk around the local pond where the kids found apples, cherries and blackberries to eat on the way round.
Came home and kids were begging for pizza. We haven't had takeaway for a while so cost £36! We did have 6 pizzas though and will do lunch tomorrow. It has come out of the days out pot as we haven't really left the house for 5 weeks so was their treat.

Tomorrow DD1 gets her GCSE results. She's sure she has failed and spent most of the day looking for other courses if she hasn't got the 5 grades needed. Think we are taking a picnic and off to the country park once she gets back So hopefully will be a NSD. She's now deciding if she would like to do an apprenticeship as she will then have her own money but didn't like the idea of paying board! apparently that's an old fashioned thing and nobody pays it now.

Next week we are hoping to do a day at the seaside and theme park with clubcard vouchers but kids cant decide where, they all want to go to different places.

  • I hope the results are better than expected. I always find GCSE results day nerve wracking even in my 30s. xxx
