Thank you Hidden. It's been busy cos of a local festival but makes the shifts go faster.

Don't seem to be finding time to update on here lately. I think Wednesday was a NSD. Yesterday we went for milk and managed to spend £22! Mainly on junk food. We got 12 pints milk, 2 loaves, a bag of frozen chips to go with our enchiladas, DH had some beer and I think the rest was muffins, doughnuts....

    Today has been a NSD.

Tomorrow I'm at work all day and DH will be in bed so nothing should be spent.

Last £25 DD has come out for the CC payments. Will try and sort an over payment to one of them tomorrow evening so hopefully it's gone through by Tuesday when I do my updates.

I know we haven't had to fill up the car this month and only bought 1 bag of dog food instead of 2 but there is still £670 in the food account with only 3 days till payday! (Sunday is shopping day though so will be less by Monday) i havent a clue how but the food budgeting must be better than it was.

Right better go load the washers and get to bed so I have time to hang it out tomorrow.

Washing in machines. With help from DD3. Now laid in bed with my cup of tea (I drink way too much tea!) Waiting for the girls to go to sleep. It reminded me that today wasnt actually a NSD, almost £50 at the opticians for DD3 to have thinner lenses. DD3 has been complaining of pain in her eye/headache for the last few days that makes her cry as it's so painful. She was due an ete test next month anyway so We took her to the opticians today and she needs stronger glasses but optician doesn't think that's causing the headaches. She came home from swimming today and fell asleep after some medicine for the pain so is now wide awake. The other 2 don't need any encouragement to stay up and Are 'keeping her company's. Im really regretting paying it now, shes 8 and wouldnt know the difference but was a bit pressured to have it (will stick with the old optician next time, this was just a sooner appointment)

Walk to work and back yesterday, first time my fitbit has reached 13000 steps... ever! It's falling apart though and i'm not sure I can justify another at the moment but once I've been to the hospital I really want to get on with the running (i'm so unfit at the moment).

Hi, just read through your diary and came across this from May.

    How old is your fitbit?

I've just had mine replaced by fitbit for free because the strap was falling apart.

I originally got it as a gift in Feb 2016. The strap broke and fitbit replaced it in September 2016. The new strap started bubbling last month. Got in touch with their customer service, sent a picture with my query, and within 4 days a new fitbit was en route.

As it was a gift I never had a receipt or any proof of purchase

    Worth looking into

and well done on some fantastic debt busting

I am having exactly the same problem with 'my' fitbit, borrowed off a friend. As it's a couple of years old I didn't think it would still be under warranty and have offered to buy a new one for my friend, who has generously said not to worry and borrow it as long as I want. DD sent hers back for replacement as she has the same problem, but hers was within warranty.

They are such a fantastic product, I can't understand why they don't have the option of metal or leather straps (I wouldn't have a rubbery one if I had the choice and they do seem prone to break).

Anyway, so many thanks for this post: it may be the company will send a replacement here too.

Thank you MB, I'll contact them and see what they say. I had it for my Christmas/birthday in jan 16 but it was replaced end of last year after bubbling and dropping to bits. I never thought to contact them about the replacement. Seems to be a common problem with this model. My SIL has a charge 2 and has so far had no problems with it.

Good luck with yours Cherryfudge, I think warranty was 2 years but didn't think they would replace a replacement.

Yesterday ended in a small spend, £1.80 for bus to work, I usually walk but was having pain in my knee and running late so didn't want to push it. Had shopping delivered today, £113 all together but the fridge and freezer are full and shouldn't need any meats for the next 2-3 weeks, just things to go with it and bread, milk, snacks, fruit...

The little ones had asked if they could have some of the fruit from the fridge, I said as long as it goes back in the fridge once you've done (they have a habbit of leaving it on the table)... Between the 3 of them they've ate entire punnets of grapes, raspberries and blackberries!! I don't mind them eating it but thought it would last a bit longer. So will need more fruit through the week.

Paid £180 to the debt today, making my total for the month £751.

    Thank you pandy19691.

Well it's not even 9PM yet and I have peace!! Kiddos have been little monkeys today and done nothing but argue. I asked DD1 to sweep through yesterday and for them to clear all their mess. Not a thing was done so apparently today i'm 'the worst mummy ever!'. Games/phones were banned, once DH has got up I have made them help blitz the room. 40 minutes later and it looks a lot better. They've had bathes and just gone up to watch a film, not quite asleep but quiet at least.

DH has gone to work early as its stock take, means he will finish early though and should be up to take me to work.

I've just tried to update tax credits as not done it yet. My log in details are on the broken laptop, so tried to use DH's and it's sent a code to his phone.... His phone's at work with him grrr. Hopefully he will text it on his break or i'll just do it in the morning (he does know i'm using his account).

Just checked last weeks food money £45 left. Got £30 left to take out for this week (I start my weeks from the sunday when I have my delivery). At the end of each month I might try to envelope any cash left and save it up to pay chunks off.

I need to see what our wages will be now I'm back full time. Theres so much work that needs doing (roof included) I've been playing with some numbers. If I pay off the £750 a month like I was hoping, we should be debt free around nov 2020 if I drop it to £600 (currently just over minimums) a month it'll be around oct 2021 (an extra 11 month) but will leave us an extra £150 a month for the big repairs. But until i know what our incomes will be/drop in tax credits, I haven't decided what to do yet.

Right, i'm off to try and catch up on a few diaries. I have been reading, almost every diary, just haven't logged in to post on them.

  • Good morning. Cool and wet here, was hoping to go out for a few hours.
I've just got up (didn't finish work till midnight) and enjoying a cup of tea in peace. The little 2 are playing in their room and still no sign of the other 3, no idea what time DH let them stay up till last night.

Checked the bank and nothing new on there.

Ive seen my first Christmas present! A dressing gown for DD1 that she will love, so will nip and pick that up when DH gets up. It's fluffy and covered in pugs, she is pug mad. My first spends from the Christmas fund.

Swimming lessons this afternoon (for the little ones, not me) and then work. Tomorrow we are both of but I didn't plan very well for going out, we are all at the dentist in the middle of the day.

Well laptop is shouting it needs charging and the charger is upstairs in the boys room so i'll catch up on threads later. Have a lovely day everyone x
