Which year ?0 -
This was an attempt by the Tories, to get people off benefits. The only benefits that the Tories want, is tax breaks for the already wealthy. They have a strange view of the world, first from the myth of 'trickle down economics', and now this scheme which costs more to administer that they make in savings lol

Sorry to raise this old post again - but still no sign of any conversion from DLA to PIP in my area - maybe next year (or not) ?0

I was on DLA and early June I received a letter saying my DLA would be ending, and if I wanted to make a claim for PIP I should fill in the application form enclosed! I filled in and returned the form by end of June.
I had a face to face assessment at my home first week of August, and about 3 weeks later I received the decision letter - I am now receiving PIP.
Hope this is helpful.0 -

Believe me, it wasn't simple, as you put it! You need to fill in the form (slightly different to the old DLA form) and wait!0

This is where my problems begin
I am unable to write legibly
I am also unable to speak on the phone...
It will be interesting to see exactly what (equal opps) facilities DWP have in place to assist me in form filling !!0 -
I believe there is a downloadable version of the form you can get to fill it in on your computer, so writing legibly shouldn't be a problem. I'm at work so can't look for the link right now, but I know it's been discussed at length on this forum in the past.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0

You can get someone to fill in the form for you, you just need to sign.We had a month between sending in the forms and having face to face assessment.Waiting for result.0 -

There is an email address that, supposedly may be the solution "DCPUALTERNATIVE.FORMATTEAM@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK"
They can send both PIP1 and PIP2 forms in editable PDF format - which can then be filled in "on-computer" and emailed back to them
I have no idea whether this will work though - I may try it in the new year !
Supposedly - The whole procedure can be "customer started"....0
