Afternoon everybody, hope your day is going well.

HK, I'm sorry to hear about your missing cat. I really hope he/she turns up soon. My daughter has adopted our neighbours cat and he lives here all day and goes back to his other house at night. Hopefully your kitty has just gone on a long stroll.

Another day working from home for me today so today I've:

    - Checked for Surveys on One Poll (no new ones)
    - Checked banking
    - Checked Ebay but still no bidders for the bike
    - Did one load of washing and now drying on low cost electric dryer
    - Had lunch from left over pasta the other day
    - Making Chicken fajitas tonight and will cook chicken in slow cooker
    - I'm feeling chilly so I've got a hot water bottle on my lap (God I sound old!)
    - Did an upper body workout today. Free as I stopped subscribing to my plan but printed all my workouts before I left so I have copies
    - No hair wash today

    Have a good one x

Still hoping that the cat shows her face soon... Poor you HK.
I'm having a cba day - really struggling to get going this close to the hols as I'm really tired. Comforting myself with the fact that this time next week I'll be away on my hols :D:D:D
Not much else to report - nsd today.
Massive savings at the SAFC kit shop last night (presents for dh and ds)
    Marked a set of books
    Yay!

    Hello Frugalistas,
Quite a productive day on the money saving front:
*Postie brought our refund from Sainsbury's (gift card)
*Useful morning in the greenhouse. Potted up 3 trays of seedlings (all from free seeds), moved tomatoes, cukes, aubergines & chillies to greenhouse & covered in bubblewrap as the sun instantly went in as soon as I'd done that!), Put broad beans outside to harden off a little before planting them out, ditto sweet peas. Dispatched a slug.
*Cut down another plastic bottle to make a free cloche.
*Did laundry overnight on cheap tariff. All pegged out for free line-drying. Hoping will all be dry when I pop out & fetch it in shortly.
*Finished knitting one of B-in-L's birthday socks. Shall cast on its pair tonight.
*Updated grocery budget & paid across supermarket spend to CC (only used it for mxaimising points for vouchers).
*Paid 4 x 50ps into my sealed pot.
*Sold a small ebay item. Wrapped it using recycled materials from my stash.
*Dinner as per meal plans - some of the dhal I batch cooked last week, with rice & the last of our home-grown rocket.
    *Entered 1 competition & 1 prize draw.
*Did a couple of surveys. Cashed in my Ugov points for £50. Also recently cashed in Onepoll for £40, so that will be a lovely £90 heading for our Loan Pay Down Fund.
*Washed hair & let it dry naturally to save on electricity.
HK - Hope that puss puts in an appearance soon. And thanks for your good wishes about mine. His paws are still looking raw, but no limp (yet) so no vet trip yet. Keeping an eye on him though.
OK, must go & get that washing in & set the machine for another cheapie wash tonight.
    Love to all,
    F x

The kitchen is sorted I have:

Tackled the 'stuff' mountain on the kitchen table, lots of old post has gone recycling and I've utilised an empty crate to put all DS's paraphanalia in.

Washing up has been done with several soak/wash cycles.

Got down on my hands and knees to wash the floor properly, it smells lovely in there now!

I heated up the pasta for lunch but managed to avoid eating it myself as the plastic container melted on the first attempt  I had hula hoops and liquorice all sorts

I've had a sale on flea bay so that's just over £12 after fees and postage :T I will pack it shortly and take to the shop.

I've forgotten to do my car tax again, will do it after dinner.

I've bought and peeled potatoes for a roast dinner tonight and left all the big ones for jacket potatoes another day. I also bought more eggs as I have a YS pack of mushrooms begging to go into an omelette!

The YS stuff doesn't look brilliant today so I won't bother going down as I've spent my fresh food allowance for the day anyway.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Today the weather has been lovely, perfect for the continued airing of my new trousers, they are hanging on the whirlygig - we have always called it that, never thought about it having another name. The smell of many detergents, fabric conditioners etc make me sneeze and my chest tight so I always wash any clothes which are new to us as soon as them enter the house as well as hanging outside for a day or 2. This also helps ds who has eczema, he doesn't react to the fragrance free detergent we use and we never use fabric conditioner.

I've just noticed the time, I need to collect dd, I will try to pop in later for a catch up.

I don't know about that :rotfl: trying to live semi freegan! (oh is horrified by it all :rotfl:) I told him I was going to get the builder to attach a water butt to our bathroom waste water pipe and he was not impressed! Bless him he makes so many compromises to be with me! (and that's after everything with dd & dgd :rotfl:)
