Today I thought as I was wfh I'd finish a bit early, thought I was being all rebellious. I worked real hard all day, inspired by the prospect of an hour in the garden or at the lottie, but then got into listening to a podcast for work (benefits related) and sorting out all of my training material and community resources material (these tasks have been on my to do list for a couple of months). I started work at 8.15 so by rights should have finished by 4.15 and carried on until just after 5! Ha ha I'm such a conformist, I think I'm gonna slyly finish early and I end up working longer than I needed to!DF as at 30/12/16

DNMS thank you for starting this weeks thread.
Today has been warm and sunny with a light breeze, perfect for drying washing. This is the first time this year that we have dried washing outside. It always makes me happy to see the washing out on the line.
Meal planned, but only until Friday
Wrote shopping list
Went shopping and stuck to list
Unpacked shopping and put it all away
Bought 5 pairs of trousers
Dried 2 loads of washing outside
Made bread
Made a batch of porridge
Set DW to run overnight
Set WM to run overnight
Hung new trousers to air on washing line overnight, if it rains they will stay there until dry
PAD
FPL, Ashleigh etc
Check bank accounts
Take water and snacks shopping with me
Did not wash hair
Educate children for free
Entertain us for free
Cut open toothpaste tube
Ongoing survey
Used RMS stamp to post a birthday card
I know buying 5 pairs of trousers doesn't sound like it's money saving but I bought them all 2nd hand in charity shops for £20, they are all good makes and in very good condition. Recently I decided I needed a couple of replacement pairs as some I have are wearing out. Very pleased with today's purchases, I hadn't planned on buying them today but went in on a whim just to see if there was anything suitable, all 3 shops had at least one pair I liked.

All flea bay and FB items collected although the FB one seemed to be umming and ahhing like she'd just come for a look (after saying she wanted it within minutes of me putting it up!) She did buy it eventually though I'm sure it's far too small for her five year old but she should have asked the size before committing if she was worried!
Both buyers were late and I can't find the SFC in the freezer  so I used some of the reluctant woman's FB money to go to the chippy.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Well managed to complete all jobs on list yesterday but no still no awol kitty:(
Fair play to the young lad who's garden she has been residing in. Apparently she moves between 3 gardens altogether, including his. Since he confirmed it was her, he hasn't seen her since so I hope she hasn't been on the move again:(
We were looking at putting food down in her hedge spot but he has 2 other strays come into his garden aswell.
We live in a semi rural area, and just across the road from the lads house is a beautiful church, a very overgrown cemetary (which I find so sad that it has just been left) and fields.
My daughter has shut her feelings down as she has her first practical exam......me feeling miserable, attacked the easter eggs last night. I ate a honeycombe crunch easter egg, it wasn't very nice so I'm not even going to bother replacing it.
I'm resigned to what is meant to be is meant to be.,....but it doesn't mean I have to give up
Back up 6am, at the front door quietly shouting awol kitty's name:)
Banking all done, bills paid, monies shifted.
I think the plan is to meet a friend for coffee today although I haven't heard anything since from her.
Really need to tackle mount ironing everest, might do a few bits today.
Meeting tonight....but I'm determined not to attack any more easter eggs:T
Hope your tummy is abit better carrie.
I hope you manage to get some rest today 1LL
I think madam has made a good choice with swimming and the park DNMS
I'm in admiration of all of ur seedlings and growing plans.
Any seedlings I would have tried to have in the house awol kittys sister would have attacked and tried to eat (we can't have flowers in the house as she pulls the heads off and tries to eat them)
I remember the term 'whirlygig' growing up, my grandma used to use the term:)

Morning all

Today's list:
Walk dog Done, free exercise
Make a beef stew in the SC for dinner (and extra portions) Done, plenty left for tomorrow
Used up remains of a pot of coleslaw in my lunchtime sandwich
Pack and post an ebay sale Done
Sort out box of mixed up vintage jewellery. I sold quite a few pieces at the weekend's boot sale, but the remainder just got thrown into a box at the end of the morning. I will definitely take it another time, as it was popular at 50p or so a go, so needs sorting. There is a lot of it! Done, there is indeed a lot of it!
Yet more paperwork for business Done, ongoing, that time of the year approaching, plus ebay and paypal reports / statements not cooperating
Small shop needed, will make a list and take it with me! Done, walked and dragged my trolley, more free exercise and saved using the car. DS came in and thought my trolley hilarious though :rotfl:
Seriously though, I went to Iceland as we like their 'premium' bread (at £1 a loaf) and it is so much cheaper than the others. At least on a par with Lidl, maybe better, and with familiar brands, if this matters to you. Couldn't get everything I needed there, but it is definitely worth a try if there is one near you!
Maybe sow some more seeds Didn't get to this
Check for surveys Done, reached my £40 goal for onepoll and claimed
Sorted out access issue to HMRC online, my phone doesn't ever get the access codes they purport to send
Managed to get the codes sent to my landline instead, and it now works. I have been meaning to do this for ages
OK, better get ready for the first dog walk!
Hope you manage to get your kitty back today HK!0 -

When I was growing up a Whirlygig was a loose chocolate bar (just in a box on the counter, health and safety nowadays would have a fit!) It looked like four draughts pieces all stuck together.
My room to tackle today is the kitchen, this has been decided by the teens having a clean up in their room and bringing down a mountain of washing up.
I took out three YS pasta salads from the freezer last night for lunches today, I don't really fancy it to be honest but might try heating it in the microwave (it's sun dried tomato and feta) because I think it might be better hot. I'm a bit fussy with tomatoes and tomato sauces, I don't really like them raw or cold.
I need to buy some potatoes as I have everything else in for a roast, hopefully there might be some intermediate price YS ones and then I will go back for the final reductions later if it looks like there's anything else useful there.
I will be doing another O of S template, my mum doesn't really understand what I do and has led her friend to believe that I will be designing their O of S from scratch according to their instructions rather than them choosing an option and me just flowing in new words. They want angel wings which I think might be quite popular anyway so I'll just do it but it means another $20 to download a couple of photographs from Shutterst0ck.
There are a couple more small things I could upload onto flea bay but only a couple of watchers on the stuff I have up on there already

Hi everyone
Had a bit of a bad start to the day when I saw parking charges had gone up from £3 to £6! I was on autopilot and just put in the usual, pressed for my ticket and then saw it only allowed me to park for 3 hours. I called the number to 'report a fault' but that's when I realised it wasn’t a fault at all. Apparently I will only get a warning and not a ticket because it's the first day of the new prices... Glad we've only got one car and OH usually drops me off
In small things:
Didn't wash my hair
Packed lunch :A
More microwave fake away for tea tonight
Cut open my makeup tube - about 2 weeks' worth left!
Buying niece's bday pressie at lunch - will be £18 in total so under our £20 budget
Also buying some of it with 7.5% discount card
Need to vacuum the whole house tonight and continue with kitchen clear out/clear down - exciting times!!
Catch up soon when I'm not 'working' :rotfl:0
