Busy day here so far. Took grandma shopping this morning after the school run, had a quick brew at hers afterwards then home. Done two hours paid stuff, loads of laundry, and sorted a big pile of clothes for charity collection being done at pre-school.
Need to sort some recycling now, then school run time. Out this evening for a meeting so babysitter coming at 7. Really CBA going to said meeting but I promised I would.

Flinging on hold as Kelpie needs a jab I forgot about on Saturday so we're off to the vet.
Is it a sign of aging that I find I now like the sound of bagpipes?Better is good enough.0 -
Bedroom and bathroom vacc'd. Green bin filling nicely once the weather decided to stop spitting with rain. A few potatoes and onions planted.
Garage rang - car poorly, but on the plus side they have found the problem. On the down side, it will stay in the garage for another week. Hopefully they will have a courtesy car for me next week. I'm trying hard not to think about it as I can't change it, but it is now a logistical nightmare, let alone the cost. Thank goodness school doesn't break until Thursday, and DD gets the school bus.
WM on again, hoping it will get an hour or so outside. The sun has just popped its head out!0 -
Hi all x
OH has been 'not great' again. He's suffering from stress/anxiety due to his work so I made him stay home and go to the Dr's. He's now got a load of pills and some self help stuff. That's the two of us on the same happy pills although mine are a much higher strength.
He couldn't settle so he's been flying, scullery and LR done!
I'm just in from work absolutely shattered but I'm off somewhere else tomorrow that pays a bit better. Made a pot of soup in the SC this morning before I left so that's dinner and lunches for tomorrow. It's also the only flying I plan on doing other than decluttering some dirt off my body by means of a bath.
Well jealous of the fly meet, I would love to meet
Anyway laters off to my bath, with bubbles and my book.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -

Hi all
Hope things are OK with DS dancemum, no meltdowns here for a while but I know how it feels.
Glad the flymeet went well.
I spent 3 hours doing housework yesterday which mainly consisted of making tea, hoovering right through, putting away clean washing and tidying up. How did that take 3 hrs? Have scrubbed the bathroom tonight and mopped downstairs.
Work a bit rubbish at the moment, my boss is off in one of his moods which puts me in the firing line. I just laugh at him but it is very irritating especially when I havent actually done anything wrong.0 -
I have been to Aldi and now have two new laundry baskets. My old ones were slowly disintegrating and having two matching means they stack.
I have also managed to S&S the kitchen.
And fingers crossed pease, for my dad who was admitted by ambulance to the cardiac ward. My mum looks shell-shocked. It's 4 months today since we lost my sister.
I can't go to the hospital as I have a cold...it's going but i am coughing and 'using tissues'; we're erring on the safe side.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Fingers firmly crossed for Vallidad.
Glad flymeet was good.
Went from zumba to physio this morning, bad sign! Did lots of painful prodding and moving and has decided to refer me to a consultant shoulder person. Ick. No doubt they are even more keen on prodding. In the meantime on the plus side she hasn't banned me from any of my dance activities as I promised not to use my arm much, and she's starting treatment next week using ultrasound which is ok.
Took hired car back. Collected new car.
Put new car details on uni electronic car park pass so it will let me in tomorrow.
Checked cc statement.
emailed report off.
Registered for cheaper phone tariff.
Mr N tidied and cleaned conservatory.
I started to blitz en suite but didn't get far.
Got paperwork ready for next 2 assessments.
Met brother and friend after they'd flown back into Stansted (15 mins by train from me) and just had a carvery.
Bit more report writing now.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
((Hugs)) Valli, and everything crossed for your dad and your mum. X0
