Evening all. Managed quiet a bit today but not as much as I'd hoped.
Rang hospital for ds, 1 appointment sorted, answerphone for the other. Never got to the pantry and ds nappies aren't due till the end of the month (thought there was a lot left forit to be due) still not filled car or paid council tax.

Did spend ages in the bathroom though and it looks almost acceptable... then spent way too long sat in the garden watching Dh finish filling the skip.

Kids fetched from school, fed and taken to swimming lessons, then fed again.

Just having our late tea, need to load dishwasher and washing machine. Was hoping for an early night, maybe tomorrow night...

If it's gone I managed it, might manage to do the rest at some point
    Clean windows
Wipe pull cords and pendants with a damp cloth
Wipe dor doors and handles paying particular attention to where grubby hands make contact
    scrub floor
    Wipe down shower screens
    Polish mirror

    Extras

    SPRING CLEANING
Empty cabinets - wipe all shelves
Chuck out gloopy potions and lotions
Wash down all the tiles with soapy water
Wipe all the bottles of shower gel etc before putting them back

Morning all. Hope you're all ok and glad the flymeet was great.

I've fed me and the dogs and dusted the dusty bits in the LR so far today. About to take a look at the list.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all :)

My Fitbit tells me I had 8.5 hours sleep, so feeling pretty good this morning. Already showered, dressed and kiddies eating breakfast. Black bin has been emptied so I've pulled that back in, about to unload DW then scoff my brekkie.

Still have so so much to do - how does life have a habit of getting so hectic - but feeling positive today. I've already got my make-up on too which helps me feel good ;)

Off to dress the children then scramble my eggs. Have marvellous days all xx

Morning all, can I join in this week? We moved house 8 weeks ago and going from a 1 bed flat to a 3 bedroom house is a bit of a culture change when it comes to cleaning! We had a massive spring clean this weekend but now I'd like to keep on top of it and I think the only way to do that is by fly-ladying!

So yesterday I did everything on the list for the bathroom, and I shall endeavour to make a start on the bedroom when I get back from work. Also need to phone my car insurance company to get my address changed and will try to go for a run also as I need to try and lose some more of this weight that I've been carrying around with me for a while.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

    Morning all
Still stupidly busy here but I will catch up over the Hols
Ds1 treated us to tickets to see caro emerald on Saturday for ds2s birthday it was a lovely night out.
Went last night to pick up more tickets so the boys can come and see Adam ant with us in May. I'm sure they will love it. Rick astley was performing there last night while I was at the box office-it was absolutely heaving with people-completely sold out. Comment from kids when I mentioned it. Rick is a legend we'd have gone to see him. My kids have such funny music tastes all of his hits are from before the were born and I wouldn't thought he featured that highly in their childhoods but obviously he did. I like his stuff but wouldn't describe myself as a huge fan.
School trip today it's only a local one so a walking bus there and back should be fun.
Need to get some more ironing done and book my hair apot for over the hols.

Have a lovely day all x

    Ironing to be done first.

    Morning!

Thanks for the lists ladies, but I'm most definitely off-piste this week. Holidays have started already for us. We had a lovely day out yesterday though, fab weather and a lovely youngsters theme park visit, kiddies had a ball. DD thought it was magical :A

I'm having a coffee, I bought from @mazon some reusable coffee pods for my machine and have tried it for the first time with some ground coffee. Not bad for a first attempt. Saving the environment one cup at a time :D

Sunday afternoon I did a massive clean of the conservatory, furries are spending most of their day outdoors now and I think they'll be OK to go in the hutch, I'm just checking the mould hasn't come back. So far so good.

Wish us luck, anyway, because that conservatory space is about to host our entire toy collection as we do The. Big. Toy. Sort. this week :rotfl:

Glad you enjoyed Narnia, ladies :)
    Good luck with cat-folding kazw
    Welcome Ruby
And welcome home, returning holidayers (is that even a word?)

    Morning everyone.
My unplanned day off, and the weather knew it -it's drizzling. Last week of school for us, and no matter what I think, I never get as much done in the holidays as when everyone is busy. So no excuses - I have cleaned the bathroom a la listy, dusted the bedroom, changed and remade the bed, cleaned the windows (minging), and will now lug the vacuum cleaner up. Recycling been collected. I'm biding my time in the hope that it brightens up and I can start to fill the green bin for next week.
Good luck with getting the cat tamed, Kazw.
    Welcome ruby.

Kazwookie, if you haven't seen the Simon's Cat cartoon called 'Off to the Vet' it might make you laugh. It's finally available on YouTube - hurrah!

I think I'm Kondo-ing. Not sure if what I'm doing fits the description exactly, but bedlinen and towels are getting a sort through and there are now several heaps:
    • Keep;
    • OH to decide - he arrived with his own household stuff over 20 years ago and I think it might be time to let some of it go, but it's his and I don't think I should get rid of it without his agreement;
    • Keep and cut up for patchwork (only three white cotton pillowcases, so not too bad)
    • CS - and I'm pleased to say that's quite a stack.
I've raided the linen-for-lodgers cupboard, our bedlinen drawer and the attic. While I was up there I found piles and piles of other stuff that is definitely going and a smaller stack of OH's stuff which I can stealthily move to his area of the attic. That way I'm not responsible for it any more and it's out of my way. It's taken me a long, long time to realise this is the only way I can cope with all the gibble we have.

Another large pile of stuff will also be going to the scrap store.

    *fling*

WM x 4 so far, now that it's stopped raining.
    Better is good enough.
