Hi AC, meant to ask any come back on the outrageous price paid for the freesat to be connected? I remember you were putting in a complaint to the CC people0

It's mine
Slight correction . It was the property mgt co out there after all .
On my way to Poole , I turned around to have a look and said hello .
From a distance the gardener looked just like my neighbour .
Specsavers is where I should be next0 -

That's a surprise then, that the management company are doing it. When I lived in a ground floor flat, the front and back gardens were my responsibility.0

If the gardens are communal then it is the management companies responsibility to maintain them.
Couple of good ideas then for storage in what I presume is a hall cupboard. I would be culling any stuff you don't use either by selling it or ditching it to charity shops or recycling. Good for getting rid of clothes, presumably stuff that does not fit you anyway.
The older we get the less clutter we like. Ornaments are mainly consigned to the charity shop except for a very small collection of Lladro figurines I have had for years and go on our mantelpiece in our lounge. Over the weekend my mum gave me the one and only Lladro figurine she has which was apparently a Christmas present from my Dad who died almost 25 years ago now. It looks lovely alongside the other four figurines I have and these are the only ornaments we have in the whole house.
We removed some fancy china we never ever use from our sideboard last week and I boxed it up and put it in the loft. If we have not used it in the next five years then it goes to the charity shop or will be sold. Trouble is most bone china is not microwave or dishwasher proof so totally unpractical for todays uses.
On the plus side we now have space in our sideboard for stuff we use all the time like games for the autumn evenings, candles for winter evenings and vases for summer flowers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Wish it was a hall cupboard. It's the cupboard where the boiler used to be in the kitchen :rotfl:
True what you say tho . Enthusiastic
I'm gonna go and empty at least a couple of crates a day and find a home for the remainder of my stuff. Either it stays or goes .
I think it's the 22nd when we all meet up. So place has to be ready .
I lost track of time. It was 1st weekend of sept we all met up,last .
Not June as I thought . It was June the previous year.0 -
How's it going so far today AC?
I was up early to take DS to the dentist and we dropped off 5 bags to the charity shop. It's a great feeling to clear clutter. I have so much so I sympathise with you. I try and declutter for at least 1 hour a week and have been doing so for the past few months. Can't believe I am still finding "stuff" to give/throw away!Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hi mrs.p
Good to see you have a plan . Today ? Well I met someone at parkstone station as I sold a huge bass guitar hard case on ebsy .
Then I went to dentist . Long walk in new trainers ( ouch ) .
I am now back indoors . It's way too hot for me . I'm expecting a delivery via D p d for some guitar hangers to hang my basses on the walls. James will be back tomorrow to do that . As they're stud walls James can get the special fittings .
I may go through some more stuff. May not . Weather decides .
Also whether I can be bothered in this heat0 -
It's very warm here too - I struggle with the heat terribly. As you say it can be really draining. Maybe try and do one crate?Debt free and Keeping on Track0
