I'm also heading back to the gym after a lengthy absence. It is so important to get our health back where it needs to be or the Now What? of your title might not be what either of us want. I'll be watching your progressIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I'm just back from the gym AC. I find it takes me a good 4 or 5 weeks of going consistently before it really feels like a good habit and not a chore. I'm on week 4 - was tough to go this morning but made myself![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Thanks doa/ copperjar
Always tough to start out with . I have to look for flexibility or light weights these days and of course cardio machines . I have a slightly different ( if more lucky ) approach than some as I won't be working yet for some time .
I'll try to incorporate walking as well . It will be interesting to see my true weight when I find my scales. If I can get to 17 stone then that's good.
10 years ago at my fittest I was 15 1/2 . But that was then .
Good luck to all0 -
On the subject of gym / aching muscles : I don't know if it's prednisone , myasthenia or what . I wake up with good intentions and end up doing nothing . Aching body , feels like I've done a workout when I get breathless tying up my shoelaces . No joke .
I should be doing things this morning , but doing nothing .
Maybe when I see the removal team later I will be rejuvenated0 -

After a few more days, I have no excuses . Back to the gym I go
Branksome or Bournemouth , is the choice I will have to make .
Looking forward to that
Is either one in walking distance? Double bonus that way...0 -
Move completed. Leather sofas fitted in great into the living room.
Removal men liked the flat . Gas room is full to the brim.
Bedroom has loads in there also .
I'm glad I'm reunited with the sofas. Took me over half an hour to get up , and I hardly did anything all day . Got money paid back to me by big yellow £75 ! Resultwill come back here tomorrow and start putting things in order

Well done AC. You can gradually get sorted now. Freecycle is great for stuff you want to get rid of unless you can sell stuff.
I have just done a gym workout too. Must be the day for it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Me again. It's a combination of prednisolone, an autoimmune disease and having pushed yourself to a physical limit. Give yourself a break before even thinking about a gym. My favourite consultant told me that with an autoimmune illness for which there is no alternative to steroids, you are 'what we medical chaps refer to as stuffed'.
There are no pros and cons, and although a 'healthy' lifestyle is clearly a Good Idea, it won't help with mg.
Steroid induced insomnia is deranged. It is like nothing else (except perhaps a bad LSD trip, but I wouldn't know).
Congratulate yourself on getting this far with a debilitating illness, potter about, settle in and work round being stuffed for a bit longer. It won't be for ever.0 -
Thanks Wendy
You talk a lot of sense . Great analysis and advice here.
Hope things are improving for yourself0 -
