Hi all
Week 2 for me and am doing quite well. Have spent £36.12 so far this week bringing my total spend up to £136.91. Will maybe need some milk before next week but that should be all.
So, £83.09 left for the last 2 shops, fingers crossed it should be doable0 -
Blimey honey.
That looks lovely! (like a mini harvest festival!)

Hi all & well done everyone so far!!
I took a friend from work who has a broken foot, to Sainsbury's at lunchtime. I spent £66.00 but as her son works there got 10% off! (Have offered to take her anytime she needs to go from now on!!) So I utilised it and got loads for freezer, joint of beef, 2 packs sausages, big block cheese etc.
So although I've not much left for the month I shouldn't need much other than fresh. Feeling quite confident I will succeed now (I did say this at this point last month however!)
Good luck guys - keep up the good work!

Needed some yogurt to-day so went to Dunnes and spent €33.87....used voucher which I thought was €9 but came off as €10 so spent €23.87, bringing my total spend so far for this month to €140.06...included 10k potatoes, chops and salmon each for one dinner...haven't checked second freezer since I came home so not sure how many dinners are there, think about 10, so maybe might make it this month...still smarting from last month's fiasco....I know that its gone but had been doing so well just can't believe that I could be such a schmuck!
Dinner to-night is fish, carrots, salad, spinach, steamed potatoes with apple something to follow....depends on what kind of inspiration hits when I go to the kitchen!

Well I've been off sick for over a week now and the dr has signed me off till next Monday now... this means I haven't spent any money!! I think I will need a few bits in a couple of days, just milk and stuff but otherwise I am coping on the food I have in the freezer and cupboards.0

I've been off ill from college and work since last Monday (only got signed off untill yesterday and still nowhere near better  ) going back today to see my doctor (oppiontment is at 16:50) to see if there is anything else he can do as we both prefere me not to go on any medication so I'm not on any at the moment. I don't mind being ill but when pain is involved like it is that's when I can not stand it!!
At least I've been eating well due to my veg box delievery. They say you should aim for 5 a day, I still do not think that is enough. 8+ is better I think.

Sorry you're not well too, I know lots of people who have been off with viruses/throat problems/flu stuff... it's not nice! I have been on antibiotics for a week but they haven't helped at all... off for a blood test tomorrow to see if it's glandular fever, hopefully it's not!!
Hope you're feeling better soon too!0 -

That struck a cord with me!! I've just finished a bottle of green fairy last night am am going to decant my Tesco Value into it.. Now I don't have a problem with the stuff but MiL does (hence I had a bottle of fairy - she took it upon herself to buy it for me  ). This way I can stop the *looks* and pay 13p a bottle
I got one of those MASSIVE bottles of Tesco value washup. It goes on for ever!
Got it following Martin's suggestion to get a couple of 'value' items each week. Got the value teabags as well, but found them OK in a cup and insufficient for a pot for 2. use 2, as it's cheaper to do this than use the expensive ones, or just when one of us wants a cuppa.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
