I have spent another roughly £8.50, will tally up exactly later.
For this I got
48 sausages
2 sub rolls
1kg baby potatoes
rooster (i know, i know) potatoes
crispy potatoes
2 boxes of chicken livers (for pate, yum!)
1.5kg frozen baby carrots
1 small fruited loaf with cinnamon (lovely toasted, which is a good job since it was reduced to 10p!)
butter
I think that is it, but I'm not sure. There might be more.
Ooh, that's it! I got 1kg bread flour (with all the grains, yum!). And honey for my bread, too. Oh, and a packet of litte stars yoghurts for Freya.
I have been making my own bread (all two loaves of it so far, lol) which is much more delicious.
I will add my new spending to my total later when I work out exactly how much I spentThis is fun!
Edit, it wasn't £8.50, it was £9.98  still, not bad for what I got.

Well, that's Week 1 over and I'm chuffed, £22.99 for the week, and that was with me asking OH to pick up bread and milk but he came back with air freshener, gingerbread and some other goodies!!!!
This week will be a bit more because I've done a wee online tesco shop, however, I am still working on the freezer stuff and the food mountain under the stairs, it doesn't seem to have gone down by much at all so lots more still to use up!!
Have a cheap week everyone!!;):j
Thanks for all your help!!!:T0 -
Hi everyone, just thought I would let you know that I have just used the MySupermarket site which gave me so many problems a week or so ago and they seem to have got their act together as it was much quicker than before and no hitches sending the trolley to Sainsbury's.
However, I didn't do a proper meal plan, so I hope I haven't made any miscalculations. That's the only problem with doing an online order, you have to think so far ahead! (Still I suppose that's part of the challenge - forward planning!)
What I like about Tesco's site is that you can print off a list of all your favourites and check list it, will have to check if MySupermarket has the same facility. I don't meal plan as my range is very limited so I just take the list in order and check through the cupboards, fridge and freezer to see what we are likely to run out of during the next fortnight. Not exactly the purists way of doing things, but it works for me, and that's what matters.0 -
Hello all, just popped in quickly to say hi :hello: :hello: - meal plans, budget etc, all went to hell in a handcart over the weekend.........grandbaby number 2 has arrived and I had to go and help out for a few days.
Had to leave OH to feed himself  - not a brilliant idea - he's a capable cook if it comes in a tin, but normally has no idea about checking out what's already in the fridge/freezer, bless him.
I only got back yesterday evening so haven't had chance to catch up yet..... I will have to check out the "damage" to the plan later and will update signature to suit!0 -
congrats on your recent grannyhood BOBYKINS, what kind did you get? I miss having a baby to bite, but will gladly suffer that lol.
I bought a bit of rubbish last night, but made up for it with mocs. Shopping for the sake of it just now:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

I have just done my second weeks shop and my running total is up to £24.70
this is because I am using up a mini mountain of tuna and peeled plum tomatoes in tins
I should have enough in to last me till next monday apart from maybe a couple of pints of milk so....... so far so good. I have also included a couple of naughty packets of sweets from garages when I fill up my car, a few packets of chewing gum and a coffee out with a friend.
I am going to be living on cornflakes for breakfast or porridge with honey, sandwiches with cheese salad or tuna salad for lunch, for dinners I have the wonderful choice of spag bol - chilli con carni or HM quorn burgers & salad. I still have some frozen HM blueberry muffins in the freezer and some bananas or dried fruit & nuts for snacks ( plus some crisps)
I have also managed to buy only organic :T and used up some money off vouchers to off set this. Need to replenish my coupon pile a bit now though.
Have a cheap week everybody :hello::cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -

I have had a major clean out of drawers cupboards etc and have endd up throwing out all my receipts etc for past weeks so i'm not sure how much i spent last week..... I do know it was close to my budget tho.
Received a Tesco shop today for £58.26 so was well chuffed, as that also included the beer for saturday. We don't usually drink but it is my birthday tomorrow so we are off out with some freinds sat. I also spent £1.58 for loo rolls in local chemist. so for me so far £59.84.
