  • Iceland have kept the price of The 4 pint size of Milk down. Some of there other dairy products have had steep rises though. Mature Cheddar up from £1 to £1.25 same increase as Eggs. They are still cheaper than the biggies though!
  • I can confirm that milk is £1.10 for 4 pints in Iceland and £1 Somerfield where I live (Leicester).

Local Somerfield is still selling 4 pints for £1. There are 3 of us at home and we only use 8 pints a week. That said they are almost opposite Iceland and next door to Aldi so I can't see how they can put the price up. I often visit all 3 on a shopping trip as I usually shop daily using local independents too, to get not just the best price but the best quality. Iceland is often cheaper on chicken breasts but you do not know the country of origin so I source UK produced wherever possible. We have 4 butchers and 2 greengrocers so most of my shopping is done on foot which means you only buy what youcan carry! A huge Asda is 5 minutes away by car so I can stock up of things not available locally monthly. My grocery bill - less than £300 a month.
  • Hi all,

I know Iceland milk is cheap and it does taste great for £1 Bargin !

But I have recently noticed that Milk from Tesco, morrisons, Co-op, Sainsbury etc all have printed on there milk that it comes from UK Cows and has a customer service line , but why does the Iceland milk not proudley advertise that it comes from Cows and are they from the UK ?

I have asked in shop but no-one has an answer not even that yes it does come from cows

It may sound strange but would like confirmation of where and from which animal are they milking :eek::eek:

I was originaly asked this by two students of mine and I agree that it was hard to get a straight answer from iceland for some reason ! anyone got confrimation on this .

    xx
