AIBU Babysitter always asks for lift home?

I think if she asks you'd be fine to respond, "Sorry, no, we're going out for a meal so will both be having a drink"
or even "Sorry, no, we're going out for a meal so will both be having a drink, but one of us would be happy to walk with you to the bus stop and wait with you, if you are worried about walking home alone"
You could also offer to pay an extra £xx to cover the cost of a taxi if you will be back later than a certain time.
I think that's reasonable. I've paid for a taxi for the babysitter when we're back after midnight.Mortgage when started: £330,995

Could you pay her minimum wage and then she could pay for her transport out of that?
ETA: ignore me, I read that she was 25 (not 24).0 -
Bus stop is a two min walk away and one bus will take her home. Unless it's after midnight I think her getting the bus home is perfectly acceptable..
She can walk to you but not get the bus home?0 -

You shouldn't have to taxi the babysitter back home again. Have a (polite) word with her and ask if she can make her own way back, and if not, why not?0

At 24, she is being a bit precious. DD is 17 only, does babysitting that can go until past 11pm. If it is before 10pm, I'll go and pick her up, if it is after, either the parents will drop her off if one has been driving and not drinking, or use the same taxi if back in one and parents will pay, or she has also paid for the taxi herself. She would never expect, let alone demand to be dropped off.0

Maybe she's just after your body and hopes the 'lift home' will turn into something else :rotfl:0

Haha, we both give her lifts home, she doesn't indicate a preference LOL, trust me, me and my other half are not lookers
Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Just need to be a bit firmer with her about lifts. You're right, we should have said something sooner.0
