Having a great week off with the kids, lots of outside adventures.
We discovered a mouse living in our garden wall, any ideas on how to get rid?

Managed to make £13.59 matched betting this evening as my kids are worn out and had an early night.

    New total £258.58/£300

unfortunately having years of experience with mice, mine would be to buy some mouse poison of ebay and place this in the wall where the children cannot access it. Then dispose of the deceased body. I have bought extra strong mouse poison and have been fortunate enough not to have had to use it for the last year.

I have it safely stored very high so my DS cannot reach it but it is kept in case the little blighters ever return.

    good luck.

I have read back but nothing's sunk in I'm afraid, but great to see some of you doing well. It's lovely to read how motivated you all are and well done so far this month :T :T

I might get onto some surveys t/m - if I can stay awake long enough :rotfl: but first I must book some flights for September whilst the offer is still on-going. I'll let you know how I get on.

hello, lovely to see you posting again. Hope you are feeling better. Any results on the tests?

I have been making some money in the background but its been a difficult month with working extra days at the office, easter break and other things going on.

Laptop still loses connectivity so extremely frustrating. DS tells everyone about our laptop problem so much I have had to tell him to stop doing it.

Sorry I have been totally rubbish this month. Hopefully things will get back to a bit more even keel next week and I might manage a long post of things to try and achieve to help in making money!

I must say though, I was trying to find somewhere to recycle some ink cartridges for the cubs and a lot of the sites we used to post about are no longer :eek: There seems to be only one or two that recycle ink cartridges. apart from selling empties ebay, although not sure how profitable that is anymore?

anyone have any trusted sites for recycling ink cartridges?
  • My tax rebate came through £653.60 and another £1 from ebay which takes my total to £748.63 :)
On the downside it has already all been eaten up by bills and car repairs.

Depends how far the wall is from the house but why not just leave it where it is? What harm is it doing to anyone? I'm a rural dweller (wasn't always, spent my first 27 years in towns/cities) and our garden is teeming with all sorts of small wildlife and I wouldn't dream of killing any of them:eek:. The only mice I won't tolerate are the ones that actually get into the house and the cat often puts paid to them anyway. Failing that I use a humane mouse trap and once caught the mouse is released into the farthest corner of the garden. I'm totally anti-killing, we don't even use pesticides on our fruit and veg. We saw a rat and a baby one in the garden last year but it just disappeared. I know rats spread disease so if there had been a lot of them I'm not sure what OH would have done about them. Mice don't bother us at all though.

It might depend in your case on how big your garden is and how far the wall is from the house itself. We have almost half an acre so there's plenty of room for us and the creatures to live amicably together:j

On reading back this sounds a bit preachy and holier than thou:o. Wasn't meant to be, sorry. It's just something I believe strongly in even though I'm totally unreligious. Live and let live and all that.

I've never been able to sell any cartridges, ever, as I always had an Epson printer and none of the sites wanted them:mad:

I've got a HP printer now so I too would be interested where I can sell them. Let's hope someone has some suggestions, though if you don't know of any buyers I doubt any exist:A

    Wow, that's brilliant:j:T

Shame you had to use it for bills and repairs:( but at least it meant you didn't have to use up your savings or resort to the plastic;)

Yes, your £1500 target in a single month was a bit ambitious but it's good to aim high:beer:.

£448 so far is excellent, especially from overtime. You must have worked hard for that:T. Congratulations. Still another 9 days to make a bit more:j. Good Luck:beer:
